Unofficial website for JauntePE
Unofficial website for JauntePE
I create a simple website for JauntePE using Google Sites service. The main objective is to help new users get necessary information about JauntePE and guide them on how to start with JauntePE. Any suggestions and comments to improve the site are welcome
It can be access at below link

Re: Unofficial website for JauntePE
Great!
I would very much like to see a subsection with lists of applications that were successfully Jauntized by different users, so that everybody would know that "this" or "that" app can be done and on what system they can be used.
I'll come back later with my list .
Edit:
So, here it is (OS used - WinXPProSP3)
I obviously don't use them all!
Also, I don't have them all anymore.
But they all worked for me at some point, some with (few) limitations, some not.
EDIT: 2013.03.30 List updated. Please, note that it is possible that some of the apps may have had limited functionality, but they had the options I was looking for, at the time. And again, I kept only a few JPE launchers, so...

Re: Unofficial website for JauntePE
I would like to see a historical index of all of JauntePE's progress and phases of developement.
A dedicated library or archive of previous JPE dlls and builds (with DL links)
Sort of a JauntePEdia..or a WikiJPEdia..ahem.
Seriously,I caught on way too late with JauntePE;I have major gaps in my JPE collection.
And I already have DL links in place for sharing my JPE related stuff (gotten from this site and others)
JPE needs to be available in all its phases..its harder and harder to find older versions without
wondering or worrying if things have been mucked with.
On othersites people are saying JPE works in Windows7 and the WOW64 TestV1 seems to work so far.
I think JauntePE may be in demand for a little while till the ThinApp Gurus catch up with Win7.
I believe this site is a nice idea CrowniXX
And I know the dll archive is a pipe dream..but you asked
And I think this should on the site..it matches the decore

Re: Unofficial website for JauntePE
Well, i can see the it will be a long lists and hard to maintain. Let say our beloved JauntePE have 80% successful rate make other software portable, how about we list out the remaining 20%, i.e the applications that were not successufly Jauntized ? It should be less work And it also might help the future development of JauntePE if there is the possibility. The list of the applications that will not work should come with the log filejoby_toss wrote:I would very much like to see a subsection with lists of applications that were successfully Jauntized by different users, so that everybody would know that "this" or "that" app can be done and on what system they can be used.
I try to look at this but first i need time to collect the informationNapiophelios wrote:I would like to see a historical index of all of JauntePE's progress and phases of development.
There are some builds in v0.1 that Redllar doesn't allow for distribution as stated in the license. 2nd problem is the madCHook.dll component used in v0.1 is also not allowed to distribute anymore and the author has remove it from the internet. Definitely it give trouble for new user to get the component first before they can try out v0.1. As conclusion, i think it is better not to release the old version to the public for now. Besides, i never look back at v0.1 after playing with the current v0.3 because it is far more better and stable.Napiophelios wrote:A dedicated library or archive of previous JPE dlls and builds (with DL links)

Both topics need more testing and more feedback from other users before we could say there are really working, the same as my workaround fix for Vista. I will add the info about Windows7 and WO64 in the website after this.Napiophelios wrote:On othersites people are saying JPE works in Windows7 and the WOW64 TestV1 seems to work so far.

Re: Unofficial website for JauntePE
Yeah, but ... jauntizing an app is pretty much hand in hand with one's JPE knowledge. And there WILL be erroneous reports if you do this listing your way. For example I couldn't do VoipBuster (stupid logon issue ), but Napiophelios did it.crownixx wrote: Well, i can see the it will be a long lists and hard to maintain. Is there a way you could incorporate all the help files in the site? So one could read more about JPE before downloading and trying it?
I think this could be easy enough giving the fact that there is already an index and all the html files and pictures are there.
Re: Unofficial website for JauntePE
You maybe right. It can also be one of the possible outcome. I will add up the list of successful apps as u suggested when i got timejoby_toss wrote:Yeah, but ... jauntizing an app is pretty much hand in hand with one's JPE knowledge. That is a good idea too. Honestly, web developing is still new to me but I guess we can put the JauntePE help file online but i am not sure if Sites Google have this option. It takes time for me to look into this idea as i wish to maintain my unofficial jpe tools starting this week first. After that i try to complete my pstart jpe project before i take a look back at the unofficial website. The idea is from you so it can be your project if you wish. I will link it in my website and put credits to youjoby_toss wrote:Is there a way you could incorporate all the help files in the site? Re: Unofficial website for JauntePE
Just a few quick comments:
1. The mybloop site is not working, therefore, you need an alternative site for the referenced runtimes download.
2. Add your JPESetup Capture!!!
3. You may want to add links and/or highlight 3 areas in Portable Freeware (a) JPE Discussions (b) Launchers/Examples and (c) The "Unofficial website for JauntePE" specifically to report problems from the site back to you (such as the bad/dead link above).
Thanks...

Re: Unofficial website for JauntePE
1. Thanks for the report. I will add other download mirror ASAP.
2. Lol, i forgot my own utility
3. It is already in the Home page. But your suggestion to separate the link is good idea too

Re: Unofficial website for JauntePE
I'm sorry to say I have no idea how to achieve that . Not a webmaster at all ... not one bit .crownixx wrote: That is a good idea too. I can host some components on my website if you want, for example video tutorials (to see them directly online)...
Re: Unofficial website for JauntePE
That is okay. At least your idea is great to increase JauntePE reputation further. Keep supporting JPEjoby_toss wrote:I'm sorry to say I have no idea how to achieve that . Not a webmaster at all ... not one bit .

Thank you Lupo73. That is also great idea. However, Google Sites prevent embedding flash video to its page. For that reason, you also need to create the page for the flash video so that i could link it from our page. If that does not trouble you.Lupo73 wrote:I can host some components on my website if you want, for example video tutorials (to see them directly online)...
