Looking for app to edit "New" submenu

#1 Post by dmg » Sat Sep 25, 2010 2:46 am

I tried a supposedly portable app and it added a file type to the New shell menu. I want it gone! I have seen at least one app on here which description indicated it could do the job, but I cannot remember its name. I have tried several search terms to no avail. can someone point me in the right direction please? 8)

Wahoo! ShellMenuNew did the trick. On a side note, it was not able to remove the entries for open document files left by OpenOffice. Oh well, my problem is solved so no complaints.

I am using good old Win XP. And considering my budget, I am likely to still be using XP when they trot out Windows 9. Thank you for the help. 8)
