Edit: Just in case someone else comes along looking for something like this,
Gridmove seems to do this nicely, though i havnt yet messed with it enough to know how it works completely, its probably what i'll be using,
/EndEdit...Yeah,
ive been looking for one when i can,
the dude over at the
LCARS Shell* is setting it up so programs only open/maximize in one part of the screen, which i just find rather way cool/handy,
(*which as soon as i can, i am SO buying a touchscreen notebook to use this with,

Just be warned though, it uses .Net, -_-)
so ive looked around and tried google, but 'Window Manager' and 'Window Arranger' etc/etc/etc give me a bunch of unless links for the most part,
i found 'WinArranger':
http://www.managebytes.com/wa/...but we didnt get along,
Mainly that it didnt ignore some of the system windows that i told it to,
And that it doesnt seem to let you open/maximize certain windows/programs in predefined areas of the desktop, (its more of a complicated tiler,)
i also found Stick while looking for this, which i posted about here:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5398Anyways, since im here doing that,

Does Anyone know of a Window Arranger / Positioner that will let me predefine the area a certain window will open in (preferably by window title/class/program.exe, as i have some programs id like to run, where it would ignore some of its windows, but id like to lock the others to certain parts of my desktop), and the max size / position of said area, allowing the window to Only maximize to that areas size, And ofcourse will let me define more then one area for other programs, or let me use the same area for more then one window,
a 'right click; move this window to area ##' option would also be awesome,
(Preferably on multiple screens And, a portable one would be rather Nice,

)
So hopefully someone knows of something?
if not, ahwell,

i just thought id be rather handy for keeping my windows organized, ^-^
...i could probably go bug the LCARS guy, but i think he's busy enough, and anything like this he might offer would probably use .Net, which id like to avoid since i only have it on one of my computers,
