About the author and background to the site

My name is Andrew and I'm currently based in London, UK. I'm a post grad student and have been an avid blogger for the past 5 years. OSLiving.com started out as a simple list of software, an overflow from my browser 'favourites' list. Somebody then spotted that list and put it on Stumble Upon, quite unexpectedly it received 20, 000 views. At that point the site wasn't even visit worthy.

And his name is Andrew too

But I prefer Open Source Alternative
Anyway, the best site, of course, is here at the PORTABLE FREEWARE collection
