I found this list of shell shortcuts that you can enter e.g. to the address bar of Windows Explorer. For example, you can write shell:localappdatalow to enter the AppData\LocalLow directory.

And sadly, these shortcuts don't seem to be usable in shortcut files (.LNK) -- creation fails with a "The file shell:localappdatalow cannot be found." message.

Agreed. I've seen these commands before but never in a clear list like that.
