@Zero3K:
It looks good but is very slow and
has a weird delay whenever I press a button or close a tab.
I was testing it on YouTube when this stuff happens
The videos play fine..but like I said all my actions had a noticeable delay

Also GitHub doesn't function properly with it either;
alot of the buttons there don't even work with this browser.

1. That's weird. I don't notice the delay when visiting Youtube, etc. Try changing opera:config#UserPrefs|EnableHardwareAcceleration to 0 if its not already set to that.
2. GitHub works fine for me. What are the settings set to in the Network and Performance sections of opera:config?

This one works a lot better for me.
it's nice having Github working again :)
thanks for sharing this.

Youtube is still buggy for me but that's okay
I prefer using my phone for vids anyway.

I will try your suggestions later to see if it helps.

Edit: it's already set to 0

Try using the first user script mentioned at http://forum.timsky.ru/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=75#p13909.

EDIT: I wonder if it is ok to add it to the listings of programs on the site...

I would say not....it's unethical and probably illegal too.
I am actually surprised your download links haven't been nixed already :)

The dude in charge of the service I am using to host them cares about the user's privacy. So, I think it has a decent chance of not happening.

I actually hadn't looked closely but after some digging I found a clear message from Opera surrounding use of it's source code, meaning this is not in the least bit legal: https://blogs.opera.com/security/2017/0 ... ing-sites/

I see this topic as a losing proposition: either someone makes a new version of Opera that has problems baked in, search engines downgrade us for non-legal software distribution, and/or Opera gets mad at us in whatever format. I think it's important for a freeware site to generally avoid pissing off freeware developers.

Certainly many of us are frustrated by Opera's moves over the past few years and I'm personally upset they won't open source the browser, but I don't think the way to go is trying to work with the tiny group of people working in secret to maybe or maybe not improve their old browser. Web developers aren't developing web pages to the Presto engine anymore (we had problems back in 2008) so even if there's a few hangers-on, this is not a project with a future.

Wait, you're not Blackbird71, are you? I remember their postings before the original Opera board was nuked.

Not me. There are more than a few people who are frustrated that details on great projects and programs are just sitting on a shelf in a closet somewhere gathering dust.

Did you miss the post on this? Would you mind taking that link down?

I am with webfork on this. I do not like posting of obviously illegal stuff on this site. Try 4chan or something. :D

Zero3K, could you remove the offending links?
