What's the point? Laptops have already reached desktops in performance (although one needs to pay more for that).

If I was going to buy a game, CAD, or video edit rig, it would probably be something along the lines of a suitcase-type machine. The reason is the same old problem of miniaturization being expensive, but also of laptops being difficult to upgrade. I think Apple is is making it the new normal to make RAM non-upgradable. I expect that to only get worse.
