Because this thread has gone in a funny direction I found it interesting to start this new thread.

What's your avatar showing and why did you chose it?

I always ask myself what e.g. webforks avatar is. Bamboo, x-ray of a bone?

Mine is showing an eye within a spider web. I liked the idea of an eye in the web/internet (@ guinness: ... on the web?).

I chose mine because it expressed my feelings well.

@ m^(2): Didn't you have a cat before a mirror showing an image of a lion first ... or am I wrong?
I liked that

Mine is a creative commons image I found 3.5 years ago which is a dummy's head next to a pint of guinness >> http://www.flickr.com/photos/dotbenjamin/2590072463/ (took me 30 seconds to find it again!)

I would say now it's 'in', but before it was definitely 'on'.

Mine is intended to be either a Celtic or Gordian knot. I chose it because it appealed to me. I see it as representing complexity and logical order. I drew this particular image my self based on a Celtic knot example I found online. 8)

Mine is a crop from an Occupy Oakland art poster I really liked -- I find the bull matches well the classical echoes of my nickname and my Iberian ethnicity...

So you don't like the current one? I know, truth hurts the most.

I've had many avatars before and I'll have many in the future.
I like the cat too...just like all avatars that I use.

Cool prompt, Checker.

Mine is an actual picture I took -- it looks just like that. That's the sidewalk moving past because I think I accidentally hit the button. I thought it looked cool so I put it up here. Looks a bit like a tree.
