Isis - A QtWebKit browser - released as open-source

#1 Post by freakazoid »

Isis was previously the bundled browser to HP's webOS.

Now the goal is to make it cross-platform compatible.

Could be an interesting project to keep an eye on for those of you who liked that other QtWebkit browser, Qtweb.
is it stealth? ;)

Very interesting -- not much to look at right now, but clearly has the foundation to do something great. Maybe give it 6 months?

Would have preferred a GPL over Apache license, but whatever.

Just a note, Isis is actually a new browser setup/webOS core component thats being put in the Open webOS project:

Which in webOS effects more then just the browser since most of the OS itself is run basically on javascript,
