Read on another forum that it supports Adblock Plus' subscription lists, which is good.

Also try Proxomitron and BFilter. (Both are available in the TPFC database - http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?sc=154)
is it stealth? ;)

Old thread update:

Looks like this went commercial. Softpedia is listing it as a demo:

The latest free AdFender version was 1.8.3, from version 2.0 it is no longer free. It seems that the developers used 1 series to harvest bug reports and feature requests (I should say that I once contacted them and they implemented the feature I suggested). If someone is interested I have all AdFender versions from 1.5.0 to 1.8.3.

As joby_toss has announced, the similar Ad Muncher is now free. I noticed that recently it blocks content it shouldn't, for example SoftwareOK download pages and Softpedia Reviews.

Edit

The full list of limitations in the "free" version of AdFender can be found in the download page.

Once I tested AdFender 1.8.3 against Ad Muncher 4.94 and it turned out that Ad Muncher was more effective in blocking ads while AdFender offered a better (in my opinion) GUI.

I made an IRC channel for AdFender. It is #adfender on chat.freenode.net:6697.
