Auto-run Applications

What are your Auto-run Applications?

An increasing number of program launchers have auto-run as a feature,
though surprisingly few of those have an Auto-close feature.

Auto-run features vary by launcher, PStart for an example can Auto-run
on start, close, or by a schedule.

I auto-run/launch everything from programs, to batchfiles, to launching documents.

I have a few programs that I auto-run every time I launch, and a few more when I close.

On Launch I auto-run: Coffee, Stickies, Postpone Restart, PushMonitorOff, AlwaysMouseWheel, DesktopMedia, WeatherMate, and DialogMove.

On close I auto-run a batch file that will close some of those programs, and USB Disk Ejector (once it was the famous EjectUSB until certain difficulties.)

Easy one: PowerPro (always and forever)! :)

These run on every startup:
  • AlwaysMouseWheel
    Breevy
    Executor
    PowerPro
    StrokeIt
    TaskbarShuffle
    TClock Light
And these run after launching CMG, a utility that launches shortcuts in a folder, one after other:
  • Disk Cleaner
    Dropbox
    DShutdown
    Opera
    Total Commander
    uTorrent
I found this way the best, because often I don't need a full weaponry at hand :)

I only have a few on autorun:

- Executor
- Taskix (because I mainly use XP still)

Then after startup, I usually run:
- Thunderbird
- XMPlay
- Opera / Pale Moon
- Peerblock

---

Okay, now I'm a little intrigued with PowerPro, since it's been mentioned twice!

Can Taskix run minimized? I would switch from Taskbar Shuffle because of its almost zero memory consumption :)

To answer my own question: yes, Taskix can be run minimized (better saying: without needing to click on the Activate button). Simply use "start" as parameter.
