I'm using 64-bit Windows 7, with 4 GB of RAM. If you really want to know, why not ask the developer? http://www.softwareok.com/?Kontakt

Re: Q-Dir 4.53

I have tried to copy/cut and paste in both modes and I do not seem to notice a different behavior... Do you? If I choose "system default" and start a large copy/paste operation, I can't do anything with Q-dir (e.g., browse to other directories) until it's finished, but if I choose "i...

Re: Q-Dir 4.53

Does anybody know what the line below (copied from the Q-Dir.ini file) represents? copy_cut_paste_mode=0 Thanks It seems to correspond to the File Operations submenu in the Extras menu, which determines whether copy/paste operations will be performed in a separate process. When it's "0", ...

Re: Best Firefox plugin(s)

My favorites these days are: The already mentioned BarTab and Tab Mix Plus Tree Style Tabs - provides an outline view of tabs on the left side of the browser. I gave Tab Groups Manager a try, after reading freakazoid's first post, but it seems like it still doesn't play nice with Tab Mix Plus, becau...

Re: VideoCacheView V1.52

OK. I still would like to know has it made much difference having the filter in place? I never believed that NirSoft or computerfreaker were updating their applications to grab the limelight. Like I would do if I add an update I want to get it into the public domain as soon as possible. I never tho...

Re: VideoCacheView V1.52

I also think it was a handful (only 1) which sparked the question of limiting the amount of updates per application. Another "nice" question: "How many updates did this "only 1" person for TPFC this year" :?: That's not true. For example, in this poll 15 people wanted ...

Re: List Foobar 2000 beta?

I wouldn't link to the betas, because they expire after four weeks: To prevent people from running outdated beta versions, every beta version now expires after four weeks from the original release. http://www.foobar2000.org/releasenotes/11 Since there's no built-in updater (well, only for components...

Re: Is Opera 11 standard portable or not ?

sorry guys.. i linked to the internal address.. Your link was fine - I used it soon after you posted it, and it works from Opera 11.10. I think the_watcher is right - I get a 404 error if I try to visit the page in Firefox, and it doesn't show up if I search for it using Firefox, but both work from...

Re: Outpost Security Suite FREE

I don't have any security suite recommendations for you, but my ad-blocking solution is the MVPS Hosts file http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm Replacing the hosts file is not quite portable (you need administrator rights), but it sounds like you're not really looking for a portable tool. Unli...

Re: Too many updates

I was just about to say; the RSS feed definitely doesn't follow that rule, and I use the feed for updates much more than visiting the main page. I believe that the RSS feed does follow that rule. It's just that Guinness often goes through and adds the "V" or removes a space or capitalizes...

Re: Portable time tracking app?

I know of three portable applications that monitor your computer usage and can assign programs or open files to categories: http://ttracker.sourceforge.net/ http://ptm.sourceforge.net/ http://www.autotimesheet.com *requires .NET* The first two are open source. I don't know how stealthy any might be.
