Re: Vivaldi (Opera [inspired] browser alternative)
While checking for registry junk, I realized that Google keys are set with " RESTRICTED " permissions that prevent them from being deleted by the regular user -- even with administrator privileges -- so I had to find a solution... luckily, this one worked: To be clear, I'm assuming you me...

Re: Added "Best of" page
Exported some for 2020 since I'm not sure if the roadblock with the template was resolved and I think webfork is nearing their annual topic.
Included the silver 'top 10' variant just for completeness sake.

Re: AllDup [& discontinued GetFoldersize]
Really late reply but, if you still have last GetFoldersize version and still interested, I suggest you make free file hosting mirrors and post back here. I'm not sure what is currently considered a reputable site for free hosting without registration so attached it here split into parts and each z...

Re: PowerShell
I'd prefer one entry for PowerShell. Not a fan of having an entry for every command: IMO they'd add little value, like Andrew has said before. :? I only add entries for subcommands of tools that gather disparate functions under one executable . Think BusyBox or Swiss File Knife (hash a file, find a...

Re: New site logo?
It used to have a graphic of packed cardboard boxes to the left before the design refresh.
Quite partial to the straightforwardness of the current design tbh.

Re: New designs for TPFC by tproli
I think one thing to keep in mind is that the area for screenshots is smaller than 1080p on the actual site. I'm always fond on maintaining legibility in screenshots if they'll be viewed at smaller widths more often that not. Eg: at fullscreen on a 1440p monitor (2560px wide) the area for the screen...

Re: Sandboxie becomes free
I'd be interested to know if its open sourcing will be of benefit to malware looking to circumvent its protections, or if that's not a concern due to its existing design or circumvention methods have been figured out in the past. My slight concern being that unless enough good security engineers are...

Re: FileTouch Utility
Does anyone else use programs like this? If so, for what? - Reverting music files to their pre-tagged file timestamp (Mp3Tag supports preserving timestamps but sometimes external tools need to be used which don't). - Changing timestamps for privacy reasons (obscure a timezone). - Downloaded some fi...

Re: Single-letter forum posts issue
Out of curiosity, what forum uses that model? One forum that implements locking posts to subsequent edits is hydrogenaud.io. After 24 hours (IIRC) posts can no longer be edited, for both OPs and regular posts. Their short-term lock approach is rather annoying tbh, though I know once in a while new ...

Re: Firefox Portable
In earlier versions, when the udate download (from inside the "about" dialog) was complete, you were able to ignore the "click here to restart and apply" (or something like that), restart your firefox with the PA-launcher and the update was installed anyway. Since some time I re...

Re: Software promotions
I am actually curious as to why you would think that. What are those "hints" you saw? It's likely as I tend to read more (ie: too much) into such things just based on forum experiences with different handles and accounts elsewhere (both of others and myself). Really the only reason I post...

Re: Firefox Portable
I have mine set to "check for updates but let me decide when to install them" and it seemed to prompt me about the changes a few days ago. So I can't confirm if that's an issue. Did you go for a really long time without an update? Maybe it forces the update after like a month or something...

Re: Firefox Portable
It's my understanding that allowing FF Portable to update itself still retains its portability, correct? Just wanted to confirm since recent versions seem to force updates regardless of the user preferences or about:config options.

Put together a zip of the gold/silver variants while I'm at it. Exported via Photoshop which made it quicker so didn't take long

Re: Added "Best of" page
No! I merely commented out the first bit that codes for the apostrophe, and change the offset slightly for the second: Also installed the TTF. Nothing else changed. What do you think I missed? Inkscape screenshot attached. Hmm, how odd since the font-family defined in the CSS within the SVG is prop...
