@Magibon
Some time ago I found this thread by chance. It describes the single biggest mistake Zach did.
@webfork
IMO, you have been a good moderator. I especially respect that you improve the DB entries in background, because you get hardly any credit for that.

Re: X-LibreOffice
You're right, one can usually use LibreOffice just fine without Java. Only some relatively complex functionality, like macros, requires Java.carbonize wrote:Isn't Java only required for the database stuff though?

Re: X-LibreOffice
X-LibreOffice has been updated to 3.4.0 version . Thanks! :) P.S.: I known (and I' m sorry) this isn't the right section of forum for the updates signallings. If you want I can start a new thread here . Eh, X-LibreOffice doesn't have a separate database entry. That subforum is designed for reportin...

Re: about Sumatra PDF browser plugin
why not just set firefox to open sumatra portable? you can edit the mime files for file associations I personally dislike additional windows. In addition, because I use the NTFS filesystem, I'm able to create a hard link instead of copying SumatraPDF.exe. Doing so decreases the disk space usage to ...

Re: about Sumatra PDF browser plugin
I followed your instructions for 1.4.0.0 version. Tha current version of Sumatra create a folder called Cache in plugins folder ( FF ). But I needed to use Sumatra.exe portable 1.4.0.0 + npPdfViewer.dll in plugins folder to see a pdf, not the file extracted from the installer. I preferred not to up...

Re: about Sumatra PDF browser plugin
I tested my own instructions. It turned out that the file libmupdf.dll is needed as well.
That file increases the total size of the plugin to 4,5 megabytes. Luckily I have a lot of disk space.

Re: KidSafe FINAL
Also, I would like to have permissions to update KidSafe on TPFC, as I do not have them currently but will require them to release 1.0.0.0 and other versions here. AFAIK, only Andrew Lee is able to manually give permissions and he does that very rarely. Whenever you want the DB entry to be updated,...

Re: Entry has been suggested but is already in the DB.
lautrepay submitted Close All Windows to the forums a few days ago. I think webfork deleted the thread after I pointed out to lautrepay it was already in the DB. I have local copies of the feed entries and can confirm that. Lautrepay's thread was here: http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/viewtop...

Re: Add Entry - minor editing
I'd like to be able to send icons in the ICO format, because IcoFX saves to that format by default. For screenshots, I've always done GIFs since it said to. Maybe Andrew wants it that way for space reasons? It isn't a good reason... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portable_Network_Graphics#Compared_to_...
