When we tested this site we found links to baixaki.ig.com.br, which we found to be a distributor of downloads some people consider adware, spyware or other potentially unwanted programs. I also says the download of orbit downloader was free of virus and/or trojan when downloaded from this site. Her...

Hello MiDoJo, In fact, if you use the portable version of MobaPhoto (in the download page, download the zip package), it won't add any registry entries, even at first run. It also won't show you the settings window, so perhaps did you change the filename of the executable or the .mbp file. --> In f...

Seem good to me. :D First Run asks you to set settings. All of the settings seem to save in the mdp file, which is readable in plain text. This file lists the current (probably the last run until program is run) drive location (i.e. e:\temploadpoint\Mobaphoto.exe) but this changes per computer (i.e....

MUI Cache is not something that is considered leaving a reg entry (as far as I'm aware). This is just the cache of most recent programs and stuff. If you really wanna get rid of these listings too use CCleaner or other similar program.

Sorry, I don't get the cops reference. All I am saying is that even though absolute stealth is impossible it should still be pursued to the limits imposed by things about the Microsoft environment that we cannot change. Don't see how that makes me silly but I don't really care either. No worries la...

Stealth just means that no trace of any kind is left on someone else's computer Very Much so. Many of us who consider, but don't always require (nirsoft we're looking at you ;) ), stealth are tech support or just (to paraphrase microshaft) "known as the computer guru" to those we know. Th...

I kind of agree with MiDoJo, except I don't think John Haller's Launcher is necessary. All of Haller's apps can be used independent of his launcher, and most don't even need to be rolled up no worries cain I don't think it's necessary either. I happily use many (OK maybe 3) of John's apps as stand ...

I'd Voted No

Sorry but I think one's portable should be made of the programs that they think are useful. Even when I make a stick for someone, I custom it for them and what they might be doing. If anyone really really wants a pre-packaged deal than something Like John H's PortableApps is the best because it's al...

also Portable is Homer

@theboydanny Thanks For the Research Homer (and Homer/pro) is a program that adds a personal web-server to 127.0.0.1. Homer Pro is an install but Homer basic is just an exe and therefor is (as far as I can tell) portable. Of course there's not much of a reason to portable this one (Homer) but it goe...

Re: What about no-install.com?

I used to visit http://www.no-install.com/ but from two weeks ago it seems disconnected. Does someone know what happened? It was a good place too. Regards. *JT. Hahaha I'm replying to a verrrrrrry old post. Don't worry that downtime (way back in 07) must've been temporary cause no-install is ...
