Re: StorURL

The increased import speed and finally including bookmark descriptions from Firefox imports has made this 110% usable for me. But most of my bookmarks with blank descriptions is filled with "Imported from Firefox" text. I don't think cluttering every single bookmark with this phrase is nec...

Re: BlueStacks Android emulator

I use Nox https://www.bignox.com/ to play mobile games on Windows. It caters towards gaming apps but I don't see how it couldn't work for anything else. It's pretty good, I like it better than Andy and Bluestacks. Nox and Memu seems to be the popular choice right now. Unfortunately like every other ...

Re: Firefox Unbranded

Couple things... first, freakazoid, how are you determining which build corresponds to the actual stable release as I see multiple 53.0 releases in different numbered folders. Second, is there interest in having a live installer for this? You can grab it and swap the files into Firefox Portable, to...

Re: HoneyView

hi thanks! but may i know why the installation version is 64bit while the portable 32bit? i have noticed that the 64bit is blazing fast ,faster then the 32bit thanks Well you'll have to ask the devs why they don't provide the 64bit executable with the portable version. The installer has both 32/64b...

Re: Windows 9 is... Windows 10

Just Installed the Creators Update. The upgrade experience is a little better compared to the previous big updates. Privacy settings is pretty much front and center when you first go through the update setup. It seems most of my previous settings were untouched so much less tweaking required. Custom...

Re: AirDC++ is evil

There are lots of ports to choose from. Are they trying to say that some isp's throttle all other ports ? I dunno. It depends. You can do some reading about it http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/webhelp/faq_university.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traffic_shaping DC++ is open source, someone wo...

Re: AirDC++ is evil

@smaragdus That taskbar thumbnails preview is some Windows 7-10 integration thing. I know you can disable it system wide with registry tweaks. But if you want it specifically for just this app, then its best to contact the developers directly and suggest whatever features that you desire. The option...

Re: AirDC++ is evil

@Userfriendly I have two questions: - Can FlylinkDC++ be run in portable mode? - Have you ever tested EiskaltDC++ and does it allow disabling of auto-update? I don't like EiskaltDC++, seems pretty bad. Vanilly DC++ looks a lot better compared to it. FlylinkDC++ creates a registry entry in HKEY_CURR...

Re: AirDC++ is evil

Out of all the currently actively maintained DC++ clients, FlylinkDC++ seems to be the only which has settings to disable auto update. If you want to keep using your current client without the nag, then just block the update server. Put this in your hosts file to block update servers for DC++, Apex,...

Re: Sizer

Seems like a big let down, missing a lot from v3.4 and can't even import v3.4 to v4.0, can't really be bothered to set up my 30 some window sizes again. Yeah, I managed to work around it by forcing it to create a default sizer.xml in C:\USER\AppData\Roaming\Sizer\sizer.xml and moving it to the prog...
