Re: LocalSend - Local file transfer between devices

Yeah, I mentioned LocalSend in a couple of previous threads. It's a good app. I also recommend LanXchange as well. Thanks freakzoid! I added this separate topic for LocalSend 'cos I plan to add it to the database soon. I didn't like most of the options presented here for various reasons. Would have...

LocalSend - Local file transfer between devices

I started with Google Nearby Share for Windows to transfer files locally between my devices (Android and Windows). The issue I faced was that the transfer will fail most of the time (Android <=> Windows), and I could not find any workaround. Then I tried Flying Carpet , but it was a little clunky in...

Re: Resource Hacker

Not sure what's wrong. I also get 5.1.7 at the official site.

But downloading it from portableapps.com, I was able to find v5.1.8 after unzipping (the files are in "App\ResourceHacker" subfolder).

Re: Dark mode

P.S. Would prefer if the Prosilver (Dark Edition) theme would have the Grey color scheme enabled instead of the default Blue one. Done! Edit: forums theme is separate from the main website one, right? Yeah unfortunately. The main website never does support themes. One possibility might be to use a ...

Re: Dark mode

I have installed 3 dark themes:

1) DVGFX2
2) Lucid Lime
3) Prosilver (Dark Edition)

Try them out and lemme know which one you prefer. Personally, my favorite is (2).

Re: Abykus SE - spreadsheet

Just dropping a note to say that the decision to create a separate entry for "Abykus CE" is the correct decision IMHO. Personally, I have been put off by the strange licensing of the "Commercial Edition", where you get a single user license only if you download from their website...

jv16 wrote: Mon Sep 04, 2023 9:07 pm You are correct, Windows does in fact highlight the selected (i.e. items with the tick in the checkbox) this way. I shall add that to the next version of Uninstalr. Thank you both for pushing for this!
Great! Thanks for confirming this.

Database was down for a few hours

Some of you might have noticed that TPFC wasn't accessible for a few hours. That was because the VPS was rebooted for a scheduled maintenance, and for some reason, the database service didn't start properly. Now that is all fixed, and we are back with our regular programme. I do sincerely apologized...

Re: Cannot change the "Display X entiries" while logged in. (Front page)

Logged in users are not "gimped" However, your post did lead me to discover a bug whereby selecting a new number causes the number of displayed entries to change, but not the actual number shown in the header. This, however, happens whether you are logged in or not. Basically, when y...
