Re: Virtaal (translation utility)

I found that the yaP-Launcher left behind a Translate Toolkit folder in the user profile folder and a gtk folder in AppData (Win10). Can anyone confirm that? (Or did I do anything wrong? UniExtracted the Virtaal installer, downloaded the yaP config and followed the instructions...) Since I didn't Re...

Re: Opera (Presto) - browser listing suggestion

We realize that those of you on old operating systems like Windows XP SP1 and older are left without much choice beyond using our Presto-based browser. With security standards on the web changing so much we didn’t want to leave you completely alone (even though we are not updating this product any ...

Re: House of fail (we got scraped)

Weird: I went to said clone (or whatever you should call it) of TPFC in my TPFC browser tab and when I pushed the browser's back button I wasn't taken back to TPFC but to http://instatime.dist-app.com/?c=rhinst ... 2279010446, which offered me to download the InstaTime app.

Re: Personal Backup

I've just tested v5.6.3 64bit on Win7x64 with the parameters specified in the FAQ and I get nothing in AppData and nothing in the registry. ini and cfg files are neatly in the app's folder.
(Though the commandline arguments seem to have a problem with spaces in filepaths.)

Re: Personal Backup

So, this app is not natively portable. Would be nice to see it removed from this subforum. Hold on, please. I contacted the developer on this issue. Dr. Rathlev told me that PersBackup.cfg is written where the ini file is written when you specify the path in the commandline argument, e.g. "/in...

Re: Ketarin

Another topic update: Ketarin is at v1.7 The Ketarin wiki claims: By default, Ketarin will create a database file in %appdata%/Ketarin, so that it is a per-user database. You can also move this file to the application path (where Ketarin.exe is located), then it will always use the database from the...

Re: Portable software to join video and audio

I tried it with XMediaRecode, which can do that theoretically, but it crashed all the time. I played around with different output formats and then gave up. Maybe I'll try again with the other suggestions when I have the time.

Portable software to join video and audio

I've got a video file (H.264 in MP4 container) that has got an audio track, but there are a lot of clicks and cracks. Now I've also got a flawless audio track (RAW). Is there some portable software that can replace the first by the latter audio track in the video? Can XMediaRecode do that?
