you can try out a program called Cafe.

It re-directs double-clicks in Windows Explorer to a program of your choosing.

the following link is a modification of Cafe to be more user-friendly.

When XP has a network drive mapped to a certain drive letter and your flash drive is expecting to mount to that same drive letter, then XP gets confused and the flash drive gets lost in translation... Unfortunately i don't have admin ri...

Hi teobromina, Thanks for the reply. I guess I should have been more specific. Currently, I have my USB drive plugged in, but it isn't showing up in "My Computer" because i think another drive has taken its default drive letter. I'm not sure if this app will address my problem, but I will ...

App to change usb drive letter without admin privileges?

Usually I would go under "Disk Management" to do this, but I don't have the privileges to do so.

Does anyone know of any app that can change a usb drive's letter without admin rights?

Thanks!

The command should be rundll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen %1 But I can't get it to work either. Why use cafe for that anyway? It would make more sense to use cafe for your other app to open them and make Pic and fax viewer the default. i don't have admin privileges at ...

Opera 9.5 alpha portable?

Opera 9.5 alpha has been released.
It uses the new Kestral rendering engine.

Similar to the "Safari Portable" thread, was wondering if someone can put together a portable package of this new alpha.

Thanks!

haven't seen this in another IRC client!
looks like opera's transfer window!

if the developer can work out that "irc://" registry setting into an .ini file, i'd be all over this program.

Crazy Browser, a.k.a. "AM Browser" is also my IE clone of choice!

Just wondering why the 3.0 beta 2 is not considered portable.
What registry settings does it occupy?

Can JauntPE be used on it?

TextPad

Not sure if this is payware or freeware... it's kinda the same as Winzip and WinRAR in that it stays functional even after the trial date but gives you a nag screen every once in a while.

would love for this app to be portable!
it's my favourite of all the text editors!
