Although we can't get the categories to be in a tree style, it would be nice if we made some modifications to the names so that they were better organized. Games - Action, System - Backup/Restore and so on. Since it's alphabetical this should do a fair job of giving people general areas to look for ...

I actually went on a huge doomRL binge with 0.9.8.8 over Christmas weekend. Updated the entry (and my copy as well), thanks for the head's up!

That's what I'm aiming for. Actually I'm going to focus completely on games and gaming-related apps instead of working on normal applications so I can make the most of my time. I noticed that someone else found the doomRL update before I got a chance to update the entry, so I'll take care of that. I...

Hi folks! [Xpadder]

Well, it's been about a year so I figured it was time for me to get off my lazy ass and post a new addition to the database. Hopefully the next one won't take nearly as long! I've actually gotten a job (not sure if I mentioned this before or not) and just had my 1-year anniversary there. Unfortunate...

Regshot is our favorite little tool for testing this out. Simply take a snapshot of the registry before you run the program, change plenty of options in the program when you run it, close the program and then take another snapshot. The program then compares the two and generates a list of altered r...

Though Steam is a terrific idea and was implemented somewhat well, it fell far short of all my expectations for it. Did they ever get the Friends network back up and running again? I stopped hoping for it after 2 years. Playing chess with myself was fun though. Stalemates are a pain in the butt.

Heh, yeah, I've been using this portably for years now, just never got around to adding it. About PeerGuardian Lite: I wouldn't recommend it since you don't have too much control over what does and does not get blocked, so you have to keep toggling it on and off if you have a problem. At leas...

Let's hear it for AlephX!

Let's give a hearty round of applause for AlephX, who's done a fantastic job keeping this site updated and helping expand the database. Now that I don't have much time to do anything, it's good to know that Andrew has a reliable helper on his side!

Indeed, very long work hours are really taking a toll on me. However, with the recent release of World of Padman (which I'm adding right now) and Urban Terror standalones, I'm trying my best to find some time to add quality stuff. Hopefully my employer will hire more people (which we desperately nee...

I do have FungusAltTab, though I do not have a JauntPE build unfortunately. It's too bad redllar gave up on the internet - he was a brilliant programmer. Here it is: http://69.5.107.243:4767/fungusAltTab.7z (And if anyone here's a Worms fan and wants a sweet cursor set) http://69.5.107.243:4767/Worm...

Forgive me for thinking we were talking about translating a tragedy to a different medium than reality - I thought that was the point.

And yes, the "closed mind" bit is a bit much but this is one issue that really frustrates me to no end. The 12 hour shifts don't help much either. ;)

I admit I expected a little better from TPFC forumgoers. Did anyone even bother reading/watching interviews about this game? About the creator's motivations and the meaning behind it? Hell, on the History Channel not too long ago there was a documentary and dramatization of the Columbine Massacre an...

How do you think the perpetrators thought of the whole thing? I'm pretty sure they weren't on a religious mission. That's kinda the point of the approach.

If you actually read about how this game was set up and the author's intent behind creating it, you'd find that it has a lot more moral fiber than one might think. He created this game to try and achieve the same aims as the Soldier of Fortune series supposedly had: to make the player feel the bitte...

Well strike one is that I can't view it in Opera, though if I choose to identify as Firefox it works fine anyways. Silly.
