Re: Tom's Viewer

Here you go - this image for example (but the behaviour occured with all of my Fuji-images): https://depot.nullnull3.de/mb_w108_0219_fj9535.jpg I didn't test RAWs - I use IranView for copying and renaming my RAWs (from Fuji & Canon) and it has no problems showing them, but with Tom's Viewer I di...

Re: Tom's Viewer

@Tom: 1) about 80MB and as mentioned created with PS CC2014 - not really new, saved in compatibility format 3) No, the resolution of X-Trans files in Tom's Viewer ist exactly the same as in other viewers - full size (in my case 4896x3264px), in addition in IrfanView I get the information about compr...

Re: Tom's Viewer

May I? I tested your updated version 3.9: + now thumbnail database creation can be switched off + opens most TIFF files However - some big problems (perhaps my files are not representative?): - does not open PSD files (at least all I tested, made with CC2014) - takes ages to open fullsize images (16...

Re: Tom's Viewer

... Thank you very much for checking out the program, zorro! 1) TIFF is not a format. It's a container. There is over 50 different formats (including JPEG) that can be placed inside TIFF. A program that could read all TIFFs simply doesn't exist. Tom's Viewer does handle some TIFF images but not all...

Re: Tom's Viewer

Quick test with a few problems: - doesn't open TIF (or at least mines - all other image viewers handle them well) - spreads "Thumbs.tdb" files whereever you browse in thumbnail mode (reminds me of the mess XP produced) - in thumbnail view you can not browse past the partition you started i...

Re: Firefox Portable

Hi rbon, I searched a while ago and decided to go with Print to PDF , because it seems the only extension, that processes the output in the browser, without help of distant websites/server. The output is not as polished as in chromium browsers (I use Vivaldi as second browser and presume that its PD...

Re: Bat to Exe Converter

What's the problem with ZeroNet? I visited the program homepage with Firefox Portable just now and everything works fine - I can view the program description and download it. No ZeroNet service or client installed, of course...

Re: Firefox Portable

I think it's the same as the one in AppData - the whole path is %systemdrive%\ProgramData\Mozilla\updates\somecrypticfoldername\empty - so until now only empty folders. Apparently has to do with changes in Windows 10.

Firefox Portable Launcher

Unfortunately since version 65 Firefox creates "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Mozilla" (%systemdrive%\ProgramData\Mozilla\updates\...) - the portable launcher leaves the folder behind. I hope John T. Haller reads this and fixes the launcher, however I'll register on PortableApps and place the issue th...

Re: MyTetra

MyTetra 1.44.31 doesn't leave QT/Trolltech junk behind. So portable mode = stealth :D

Seems capable and desires a database entry - will do this after some testing.

Solution for missing visual-c-runtime

Dear community, ---- scroll down to next chapter to skip the story  ----- I fiddle around with portable programs since the good ol' times of Windows 95 and always tried to break dependencies and isolate programs from the system. It's a wonderful concept, if you manage to isolate them all - ...

Re: Lunacy

Great find! It looks like a modern, slim down version of good old Freehand (god bless you, Macromedia!). Unfortunately I couldn't test it - NET 4.6.1 is needed  ...but I inspected the folders a bit - besides the NET-questionability it could turn out portable and stealth. If you choose only one ...
