Re: Windows 10 Snipping Tool (PStart)

Like Midas said, I think it's a bitness issue. You use 64-bit Windows 10, right? PStart is a 32-bit program, and therefore when it tries to access System32, Windows redirects it to SysWOW64. And apparently 32-bit Snipping Tool doesn't ship on 64-bit Windows. Therefore there is SnippingTool.exe in Sy...

Re: SeaMonkey Portable

Anyone can tell me what's the name of (or how to to disable) those toggle strips so characteristic of SeaMonkey ? I have been trying to recall that for days to no avail... They're called grippies . Here's an old tip about how to disable them. I don't know if it still works. http://seamonkey.ilias.c...

I nominate Vivaldi. IMHO, it's by far the best web browser available.

Re: Firefox Portable

But what about the Mozilla-Folder in Local? Does anyone else have this with subfolders (see screenshot in my last reply)? Read the page I linked above. I addressed this right in the bug report. And it's fixed in the upcoming launcher which is available for download on the bug report page. Uh, he ha...

Re: Firefox Portable

I've confirmed it's an issue due to changes in the new Quantum release. You can follow the bug report and download the test version of the upcoming Firefox Portable launcher that fixes it here: https://portableapps.com/node/57289 Fix verified. With the modified wrapper, Firefox Portable doesn't lea...

Re: Firefox Portable stealth status

I don'tknow, where the statement about FF Portable beeing stealth comes from, but for me since several versions (don't know exactly, could have been 36) the launcher lefts the following folders behind: • AppData\Local\Mozilla • AppData\LocalLow\Mozilla • AppData\Roaming\Mozilla I make use of the pr...

Re: Emojis

I don't think this is currently supported by phpBB natively, even the latest version: https://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=47706 According to https://tracker.phpbb.com/browse/PHPBB3-12745 (linked from that thread), the latest version of phpBB does support emoji characters in posts. 100 years of independence!

On December 6, 1917, the Finnish parliament adopted the declaration of independence. It has been 100 years since then. :) In early 1900s, the area of Finland belonged to Russia. Declaration of independence doesn't do much good on its own: independence also needs to be recognized by other countries. ...

BTW, I'm now using demon.devin's wrapper myself. I got yet another AV false positive with crazy-max's wrapper, and at this point I'm fed up of them.

Version 0.0.298-14 of crazy-max's wrapper is available. However, I'm going to hold updating the database entry for now. Whopping 32 AVs say that the latest version is infected, and I'll rather believe them. Golang seems to often trigger false positives kinda like AutoIt. It looks like it has been r...
