I also use a USB HDD for most portable work. However, I also have a 2 GB TravelDrive thumbdrive and have that in the school backpack, loaded with apps appropriate for schoolwork (incl. OpenOffice) and my school documents and such are in encrypted folders using Remora DiskGuard...for school, I find t...

Remora USB Disk Guard at v1.5

Remora USB Disk Guard at v1.5 (make sure to get the free version, not the "Pro" version)...although its launcher file is clearly larger (2.3 MB vs about 1.5 MB) because of an update, it still reports as v1.4 for the moment...e-mailed them about that and they said they will correct that, th...

XMPlay updated to 3.3.0.6

XMPlay updated to 3.3.0.6 From http://support.xmplay.com/file_comment.php?id=535 "[The update] includes a playlist file (PLS/etc) related security fix. So, although pretty unlikely to be exploited, it's a good idea to upgrade. As well as that, there are a few new features, including per-extensi...

Firefox at 1.5.0.8

Firefox at 1.5.0.8, which you can update from within program too.

Wonder how long the 1.5 series will be supported, especially with its suitability for portable media.

Download correct version

Make sure to use the portable version of course, otherwise you primarily run into thumbnail database creation woes on the PC you are using. Or you can use the "Create Portable Application" function. ;-)
