Re: Lock State 2.0 feedback?
I have implemented a bunch of suggestions and worked out some bugs. Here is the new version: http://www.mediafire.com/download/vh2a3sncft4yu6y/Lock_State_2.0.zip Now single clicking the tray icon shows the OSD, and double clicking brings up the settings gui. The key states and whether they are locke...

Re: Lock State 2.0 feedback?
@guinness: Greetings! I would be happy to hear any advice you may care to give. I googled "WH_KEYBOARD_LL" and it looks like some sort of custom keyboard hook??? I could use a hook in my code but as far as I am aware it would not change anything, unless you have some other specific change...

Re: Lock State 2.0 feedback?
As it is now the settings gui is displayed when the tray icon is double clicked. That is not really necessary. Would it be better to show the OSD on double click instead?
Thank you very much for responding!

Lock State 2.0 feedback?
A long time ago (in a galaxy far far away) I wrote a simple app to display the states of the lock keys. It was badly written and lacked polish. It was named Lock State. My skills have thankfully improved since then, and since I had hit a wall on another project I decided to start updating my old app...

Re: Auctus (formerely Expansionist) - text expand/replace
Just wanted to say I am still working on this app, though very slowly it seems. I have also renamed it to Auctus.

Re: Expansionist - text expansion/replacement
Goodness! I have watched plenty of YouTube vids but never thought I would be mentioned in one. While I was aware of the existence of PhraseExpress, and in fact as far as Google is concerned it seems to be synonymous with text expansion, I was NOT aware of its amazing capabilities! I can honest...

Re: Expansionist - text expansion/replacement
I can see where grouping rules based on circumstances of use may be nice, but I am not very good at GUIs so I had not thought of anything that complicated. I will think about it.
I will think about adding a 'disable' feature too.
Thanks for the ideas. Let me know of anything else you think of.

Re: Expansionist - text expansion/replacement
Thanks for responding! I looked at Texter and TyperTask before starting, and I became aware of PhraseExpress after. I liked the way Texter worked but it's home site appears to be gone so if you try to click anything in the Help menu it just gives a 404/page not found error. As it is now Expnasionist...

Auctus (formerely Expansionist) - text expand/replace
I am working on a simple text expansion app. I am most of the way through creating the core code but I thought I would ask the community for feature ideas. At this point I am tentatively planning on: *For compatibility you can change the global input method, keystroke speed and duration. *Can set th...

Re: Vigenere+ text cipher (toy)
That's just it I am interested, at least dmg knows that, since I have helped them many times in that past with AHK and AutoIt. Right dmg? Indeed! You have been helpful and encouraging on many occasions over the last few years, and I thank you. :) @Checker: Wow. That reminds me of the first computer...

Re: Vigenere+ text cipher (toy)
I have re uploaded the Vigenere+ zip file. I discovered a small error in the documentation and decided to go ahead and correct it. Since the only change was a single word in one file I have opted not in increment the version number. Frankly it would be silly to do so.

Re: Vigenere+ text cipher (toy)
@joby_toss: I certainly do not take offense. And yes, creating the app was mostly a fun/learning project. As to the end user, I am sure very few people would have any use for most of my apps, and I am OK with that. :) @NickR: Why thank you for the mostly undeserved positive reinforcement! 8) @guinn...

Re: Vigenere+ text cipher (toy)
Why yes, I have considered that! But I am working on several ciphers over a long time (we are talking a couple years) and I decided to release individual apps for most but maybe not all ciphers. Basically, I was impatient so I went with quantity over quality. 8) I will probably eventually do one or ...
