Re: Surface: great product from unexpected maker?

...FYI, I went full ThinkPad (Lenovo) over a decade ago and, although that isn't as clear cut an option anymore*, never ever regretted it.... Lenovo/IBM ThinkPad's local appreciation: 1. Lenovo/IBM ThinkPad R61i, Win XP , bought new around 2008, still ticking nicely ten years later,     merely call...

Re: IP Traffic Spy

Regrettably, ISpy.exe v1.0.0.8 does not run under Win XP. ( "Not a valid Win32 application" ) Shame, really...considering the current release notes look fairly interesting: Added identification of 10 protocols: in addition to TCP and UDP we added ICMP, IGMP, GGP, ST, CBT, EGP, IGP, PUP, IDP a...

Re: Indentation in BBCODE

@SYSTEM Thanks for the clarification. And yet... I still find the local BBCODE usage to display "List-bulleted / List-numbered" items needlessly counter-intuitive, compared to simpler implementations found in other kindred phpBB bulletin boards/conferencing systems, never mind in staple text...

Re: List(s) BBCODE malfunction

Well, I never...

Hats off to Specular for pinpointing the cached stylesheet  mischievous shenanigans,

@Andrew
Colour me dense, but...
I still see TWO stacked (albeit dissimilar) quotes symbols,

...when a single one would be perfectly adequate...deferring to __phil's "least resource expenditure" principle...;-)

BBCODE current quirks

And speaking of current BBCODE quirks,
why does phpBB stubbornly and needlessly insist on duplicating quote marks, as in :
some quoted text
while a lone quote whould be (ahem...) "quote" enough ?

Re: Easiest & Quickest tool to clone Linux ??

Nothing close to a full Linux clone distro, granted, however the following tiny "Unix for Windows" ports might be of passing interest all the same:

busybox-w32  "Unix-utilities in a single EXE"
unxutils
"over 120 GNU Unix-like win-32 port discrete utilities"
unixkit-tiny
