Private Database: not so private.

I had entered Ghostpress into the private database -- where it still is -- and, recently, I updated its version number.
This has caused it to be displayed on the TPFC homepage as a recent update for all to see and access: so, it's not so private then.
A bug?

Re: Ghostpress: Anti-Keylogger

It's in the private database and likely to stay there: I don't see the problem.
It could be changed if and when it makes it to the public database but I'm doubting that any of my entries (4) will make it there as I can clearly see there is little interest in them.
How about they all just get deleted?

Re: POP Peeper was "Liteware" but should be "Trialware/Freem

The download-link for POP Peeper v4.2 in its DB entry here goes to http://www.esumsoft.com/download/?prod=ppfree, which is the Esumsoft download-page for "POP Peeper Pro v4.2 Shareware/Freeware*" with its note saying: "* - POP Peeper Pro will revert to the freeware edition after the 3...

Re: looking for full portable files AES encryptor

Hi, I didn't really get what stealth was but I think you're right. Thanks for the correction: I'll change it then. (I guess my understanding/misunderstanding of stealth was that it referred to a program that writes to the registry and/or outside its own folder but removes such entries at program exi...

POP Peeper was "Liteware" but should be "Trialware/Freemium"

The entry for POP Peeper says "License: Liteware", which, according to the FAQ section, means: "a 'lighter' version of an existing commercial version, but still has lots of good functionality". This was once accurate but, for a while now, POP Peeper has not come in separate free ...

Re: Paranoia Text Encryption & S.S.E. File Encryptor

@Webfork Softpedia lists it as closed-source freeware: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/E ... tion.shtml One of the screenshots however clearly requires Java. 2nd point (Java) There are different versions: so, I believe , Java is NOT required. Text Encryption Java Version: PTE-PC.zip (Paranoia ...

Re: Where's "This app rocks!" option for GeekUninstaller?

OK, so, if I select the "This app rocks!" option, it then disappears.
BUT
I've noticed that, if I select the "This app sucks!" option, that DOESN'T disappear.

Where's "This app rocks!" option for GeekUninstaller?

For the GeekUninstaller entry in the private database, there is only the "This app sucks!" option: where's the "This app rocks!" option?

@joby_toss

Thanks for your reply but, as can be seen from this screenshot from my laptop: no, it couldn't.

Re: Infinite Password Generator

There's nothing malicious about the trim links. I just wanted to see how much interest there was by seeing how many times they were clicked: Trim provides various analytics.

Re: How to submit an application to the database directly

Like vmars316 , I don't see " R0 +Add Entry Logout": all I see is " R0 Logout". PFC.jpeg Also like vmars316 , I had wondered "Is this page up to date?": seeing no "Add Entry" link, I assumed it wasn't. So, without any apparent access to add to the private data...

Infinite Password Generator

This is something I have liked and used for years but I don't think it's in your collection: https://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif Infinite Password Generator . Re: Paranoia Text Encryption & S.S.E. File Encryptor

They are "freemium" programs: free with strong encryption ciphers such as Blowfish-448, AES-256, TwoFish-256 and Serpent-256; use of Shacal2-512 and Threefish-1024 requires payment. I suggest that, if being "freemium" is a problem, then Pop Peeper -- a program I like and use -- b...
