I forgot the PFC database uses *BYTES* for entries. Nothing else I ever use has in the last 10 years.

Fixed it, thanks!

Re: Emsisoft Commandline Scanner for malware infections

I believe the 32-bit version is no longer officially supported by the publisher but is still receiving updates for now.

Audacious Portable released by PortableApps.com

Audacious is an audio player and media library based on XMMS. It's a solid app but not portable. This release from PortableApps.com makes it portable and adjusts paths within your bundled playlists. Re: zmPortable (Launcher for Zoom) released by PortableApps.com

Nice! I see it has "Download 32-bit" but not "Download 64-bit", should it be fixed per this description? Also, by 7/8.1 did you also mean 10/11 or is it different there? The copy of Zoom itself is the 32-bit version. It will automatically download a full Chromium-based browser o...

zmPortable (Launcher for Zoom) released by PortableApps.com

Hi all. Thought you'd be interested in the new zmPortable launcher for Zoom I just posted. It will automatically download Zoom and set it up as a portable app. The zmPortable PA.c Launcher does a little more heavy lifting than usual and took a little more time to develop and test. Zoom locks its set...

Re: PortableApps Platform (formerly PortableApps Suite)

So two interesting notes on the PA platform update, including two platforms that I thought we'd never see in this territory: * ShareX support - meaning PA is now accepting dotNET apps * Initial macOS support That was definitely news to me. We've been doing .NET apps for a bit. We have Eraser.net , ...

Re: SourceForge Outtage Jan 18-19 2023 (resolved)

Over the past four months, it seems like John and the portableapps.com team cannot catch a break with hosting services for their apps. As a frequent visitor to their site and user of some of their packaged apps, John and his team do such a great job with what they offer on their site. I'm hoping th...

Re: SourceForge Outtage Jan 18-19 2023 (resolved)

SourceForge resolved the issue this afternoon. It took a couple hours for the mirrors to catch up. Everything is working again as it should in my testing so we've re-enabled SF downloads.

SourceForge Outtage Jan 18-19 2023 (resolved)

Wanted to let folks know that it seems SourceForge has had an outtage or configuration issue. All downloads of apps posted after Oct 2021 seem to be unavailable. I've switched PortableApps.com over to our own hosted downloads for our website and platform, but when downloading things from other open ...

Re: Portable Skype (AKA sPortable)

Good thought, though it didn't work. But it gave the a similar idea. Create a directory called Skype-Setup.exe within Data\SkypeData. This prevents it from downloading it. I've added code for this to the next release. This is now incorporated into sPortable with today's 8.90.0.407 release. It will ...

Have you tried placing a dummy ' Skype-Setup.exe ' file there with read-only and system attributes set? Good thought, though it didn't work. But it gave the a similar idea. Re: Portable Skype (AKA sPortable)

Thanks John. That worked after I wiped out my Data folder. Is it possible to prevent Skype from downloading the latest Skype-Setup.exe file to Data\SkypeData? This causes most of the issues for me as it asks to update Skype on next launch similar to webfork's screenshot a few posts up: https://www....

sPortable 8.90.0.405 cannot be installed. I'm getting the following when running sPortable_8.90.0.405_online.paf.exe:
The publisher pulled it. We reverted to the previous version.
