Re: Is it time to stop highlighting 32-bit over 64-bit and possibly stop the distinction at all?
"Windows 11 even removed 32-bit support altogether, so the 32-bit era is over anyway for Windows OS." That's a bit miss-leading! Whilst Windows 11 is the first Windows release to be only available as a 64-bit OS it still provides full support for installing and running 32-bit software. In...

Adding a FAQ about beta versions or just officially separate them
Someone recently updated one of my program's listing here to reflect a beta version. Beta versions are by definition always newer than stable versions, so it might be tempting to add them. But also by definition they are experimental, might not work properly and possibly even do unpredictable action...

Is it time to stop highlighting 32-bit over 64-bit and possibly stop the distinction at all?
I think the 32-bit/64-bit distinction, especially as 32-bit always comes first (see this ), is probably a leftover from the era of Windows XP. It seems to me all Windows afterwards are mostly 64-bit, with 32-bit variants harder to find. Windows 11 even removed 32-bit support altogether, so the 32-bi...

Re: AutoRun LWMenu
Can you try it in the latest beta ? Just to show why it's complex - even just coming up with all these options: Originally before buttonafter and kiosk existed: If Launched button while skipping or asked to close menu => exit What should be now: Launched button while skipping menu + no buttonafter +...

Re: AutoRun LWMenu
I can't reproduce this using your own autorun.inf from an earlier post. But your video shows it's HijackThis, while the autorun.inf you pasted earlier was Audio Converter. When you post a movie, please include exactly the matching autorun.inf If it was the same autorun.inf I'd ask to click Help=>Abo...

Re: AutoRun LWMenu
Now you have to forcibly use the "closemenuonclick=1" parameter. Otherwise, after closing the program the main LWMenu opens. Good catch, fixed! Can you try the latest beta ? There are so many options now and thus greater risk of clashes. Please do let me know if you find any more clashes....

Re: AutoRun LWMenu
You're all welcome to try the latest beta with various new features, most of which were based on this user's kiosk mode use case discussion . The main new features are: Dark mode (great for the eyes) clickbutton=X (opens the menu and then clicks a button) kiosk=1 (prevents moving or closing the menu...

Re: Server high load message occurs too frequently lately
It affected everything, not just the forum. The homepage was without any listings and what remained was just pure text.Andrew Lee wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 5:55 pm Don't think the web server has gone down despite of the high CPU load?

Re: Server high load message occurs too frequently lately
First of all, if it happens there should be a way for you to take everything down and instead just write a simple HTML of sorry, we're down. Otherwise it looks like the site was hacked or gone for good. As for the high load, maybe try and see if it's specific IP addresses that cause this and block t...

Re: AutoRun LWMenu
Well, it's double affirmative because it's actually an official feature that was based on a previous discussion is this very thread.
This FAQ explains how to do it and you can also see it in the comparison table.

Re: AutoIt Portable
Just a few days short of a decade later, AutoIt is an almost portable software. The only non portable leftover is this issue . But alas, any attempt to solve it gets the developer very angry, to the level of almost cursing me. I think the main problem is no one in the world but me shows support for ...

Re: AutoRun LWMenu
It's probably because you have spaces in your folders and files, so added support for it, plus the ability to pass multiple parameters (although it's not relevant to this specific use case). Also added a new feature admin=1 to be able to launch programs an admin (showed it on the default's menu CMD ...

Re: AutoRun LWMenu
Nevertheless, I've made a beta attempt at it, care to try? Folders should now pass to launched programs just like any other association (plus you can use -ini= to choose an alternate folder to grab autorun.inf from).

Re: AutoRun LWMenu
I guess this means everything else is well? Do you mean you ask to be able to associate/pass folders and not just files? Correct me if I'm wrong, but yaP doesn't support opening an alternate INI file through a command line parameter, right? For example, running c:\test\launcher.com c:\something : In...
