I just tested it quickly but I must say that the %Counter% and %UserInput% abbreviations are very nice.
Thanks

Re: Script to uninstall fonts
Do you have admin rights? -->> Yes. Do you have ttf type of fonts only? -->> Mostly TTF and a few FON. Yep, I tried deleting the font with the cmd/bat and it actually does delete the font file but there's still a ghost entry in font manager list. -->> In my case the (allegedly deleted) font simply r...

Re: Script to uninstall fonts
@Userfriendly: In fact that's exactly what I thought, but the reason I decided to post my question here at TPFC is that that approach failed  Executing a batch like this: @echo off Del /f /q %WINDIR%\Font\garfield.ttf pause <<-- (to permit taking the screenshot) Produces this: http://www.putl...

Script to uninstall fonts
I was wondering whether it is possible to uninstall (some specific) fonts with a batch (or vbs) script on XP... Hopefully some TPFC script gurus won't mind to shed some lights on this subject
Thanks

Calendar Editor Pro v3.02... Anybody?
I have v.3.00 but I discovered some bugs, which might be resolved in v.3.02. As I cannot find v.3.02 anywhere on the Net and the development of this app appears to be abandoned, can somebody (who still has this version) kindly provide a download link? http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=128...

Re: DropIt
Hey Lupo73, Just downloaded v.5.0 and took it for a spin... Looks very nice and compact  Guess which function I went to test first? Yes, you guessed right, the file numeration (http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=62419#p62419)... Unless I am doing something wrong, somethi...

Re: Ultimate Calendar
Yes, I just came across that "S" in the .chm file and rushed here to edit my post but you beat me to the punch  I have investigated further the recurring events matter and it appears that Ultimate Calendar does (IMHO not fully user-friendly) indeed support recurrences  only ...

Re: Ultimate Calendar
Excellent catch, I am Baas  I am only surprised that such a feature-rich application: 1. Does not support recurring events 2. Does not permit the user to close/hide the settings panel Unless I overlooked these options since I have just been testing Ultimate Calendar for a short while. Thank...

Re: Partitioning external HDD pros & cons
Thank you all, friends  I decided to invest some time and tested all available options ("optimize for quick removal" and "optimize for performance" in combination with enabled and disabled write caching) on a freshly NTFS formatted 500 GB USB2 HDD... Curious to know the ...

Re: Looking for a reminder tool
@ donald: Thanks for your effort, friend. Unfortunately both Zhornsoft apps (Stickies and Birthday Reminder) are very limited in the area of creating recursive tasks/events and while they might be suitable for reminding the "once only" and the "yearly" dates, they are unsuitable...

Re: Partitioning external HDD pros & cons
Thanks Midas  Yes, that's basically the same conclusions I reached by reading around but what I am wondering is, does what you wrote reflect your personal experience? Point 1: You wrote "the easiest route", well partitioning an ext. HDD is only a matter of seconds and it is a very...

Partitioning external HDD pros & cons
I would just like to hear the opinion of my knowledgeable TPFC friends about these topics: 1. What would be the pros and cons of partitioning an external (1 TB or 500 GB) HDD used for data storage under Windows? 2. What would be the pros and cons of using optimize for quick removal vs. optimize for ...
