Re: X-LibreOffice

but the two pop-up messages from the taskbar advertising WinPenPack was one too many. Hi webfork, if you consider annoyng the traytip messages, you can simply disable them editing the X-LibreOffice.ini file: just change the settings in [Options] section from "ShowTrayTip=true" to "Sh...

Re: LibreOffice Portable now runs from paths with spaces

JavaGet is violating the Oracle license name? We can rename in JGet and change the icons, and the solution is founded. JGet is in use . You'll need to choose a name no one else is using. But yes, you need to rename it without using any Oracle trademarks in the name nor using the Java logo in any wa...

Re: LibreOffice Portable now runs from paths with spaces

I'll be happy to take it up with SourceForge and Oracle instead of you prefer I go that route. I thought you'd appreciate the ability to fix your violations of the GPL and Oracle's trademark policy rather than receiving a second warning from SourceForge and a cease and desist letter from Oracle. Th...

I quote again what you write: And there is no search facility available for your repository on the page. If there is no search facility on that page is not our fault, is a SourceForge responsability; if they have some prerequisite on their rules, is their job to offer the right functionalities on th...

Don't tell to us, please send your grievance to SourceForge, the owner of the repository.

Re: X-Datacrow addition

Two things here: While I'm hoping someone will decide to test it, that's totally voluntary. I would do it myself, but I don't really have the system setup to handle that and any test I do is just partial. Hi webfork, it's the same here in winPenPack, everyone do everything totally voluntary... And,...

Re: JPEGView

Please note that JPEGView is not natively portable; to let the program save the settings into the program folder, and use it from an usb device, is necessary to modify the row n. 18 on the JPEGView.ini, putting StoreToEXEPath=true otherwise, the settings and the db files will be saved in "C:\Do...

Re: X-Datacrow addition

As with LibreOffice, I'd like JavaGet to be tested for portability , but this forum has (in the past) been disinterested in Java software. That might have something to do with why it hasn't gone live. Hi webfork, we can confirm that winPenPack JavaGet utility is fully portable and stealth. Obviousl...

Re: XBlender V2.49b Rev 8

Blender Portable fully portablizes both the the bookmarks.txt and recent-file.txt, so that is flat-out incorrect. It also uses a contained TEMP file on the local PC so that temp files get the nice fast local drive but are automatically removed on exit. In my testing, I saw no evidence of a C:\tmp, ...

Re: XBlender V2.49b Rev 8

Blender is natively portable using this method No, it isn't. You are not considering some "collaterals" as recent files, thumbnails folders, bookmars, and temporary files. Many developer say "my software is portable" only 'cause they write some settings in the executable folders...
