Re: DropIt

If I have a folder destination setup: %ParentDir%\%DateModified%, is there a way to filter the result so it creates a directory only with the associated year (i.e. removing the month & day)? This solution would prove invaluable if it can be done. Currently, I use "File Sieve" to accomp...

Re: A program to 'Create Folder' from Filename or Foldername

DropIt is also very good tool. However, regarding files 2 folders here is another link: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/file-2-folder-move-selected-files-to-new-folders-through-context-menu/ Initially, it was not compatible with Win7, but it was updated in late 2011. I use it on a Win7 64b...

Re: your choice for a backup program?

Checkout zBack. It is a backup and synchronize tool with a small footprint. Copy modes include update files, refresh existing files, or mirror source to target and can be run manually, from batch/script, or from the command line. Re: What is best Anti-virus, spyware, malware?

Interesting reading on Microsoft's Security Essentials - ranked as one of the best performing free Antivirus applications. Works with XP 32bit/Vista 32bit/MS7 64bit OS. Also, lists other high performance ranking antivirus applications too. http://lifehacker.com/search/antivirus/byrelevance/?timerang...

Teamviewer

Hey Ameri-cain, I have been using it for over three months now, have it on six PCs (my kids who are scattered throughout Michigan + three of my own). I have not experienced any timeout issues. In fact, I have the opposite issue, while I am in remote access, and if I let it remain open without any ac...

Not sure what you are referring too. Just download the program and use. You have two options: install or use as portable (second option). Just try it and see. :)
