Besides the above, many people use a scripting language to do simple things. That's what they're made for. crownixx's build wizard for JPE is a good example. It really does depend on exactly what you want to accomplish. Do you want a gui? Extensive financial calculations? You want to be able to mak...

I think it might be worth reading all of the other posts in the forum on this subject. As far as I know JPE cannot move files. What it does is redirect your application in where it looks for and stores files and reg entries. You should be able to redirect your program to look for the files in the ho...

If that is the case, I think I should be able to find such a machine around here. You'd just have to let me know (pretty precisely for that matter) what needs to be analyzed ...

I've had a look at this and I'm puzzled as hell. There are at least 8 separate processes to activesync and I'm not too sure if any single one controls the others. The files themselves are split only between the program files common files and windows folders so I assume they shouldn't be much trouble...

brewabel, is your desktop version the same as the portable? I had an older version of winrar on my pc and the reg wouldn't work. A quick workaround for me was to put my existing winrar.exe in the portable folder and make it read only (so it doesn't get deleted on shutdown) and it runs that one in a ...

Slowlearner I hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread for this question. I'm in pretty much the same boat as you in wanting to learn to code. I'm starting very basically i C++ because people seem to have high regard for it and I read that it is a good way to make independent applications (Event...

Wow, that's going to take some getting used to.

It's looking great.
This site seems to be getting better every time I look.

Thank you Andrew Lee for all your work in this site.
Yup, I agree totally ^,^

Of course

I don't really see the difference with posting JPE'd apps and posting John Hallers portables.

If they're legal, free and portable they belong in the database.

Noone has to download them if they don't want them

http://www.pc-tools.net/win32/mintimer/ Is a cool tiny countdown timer. I like small apps btw, it's tiny writes no settings and does it's job. http://f2.org/products/tinyclock/ A tiny clock, I can't find a way to close this without taskmaning it but it, again, does it's job. http://home.mnet-online....

A couple of small utils and games

I've looked through the database and haven't seen these posted, my apologies if I missed them. The first three are very handy volume controls The last few are just a few simple and small games I found, The solitaire can be made even smaller by changing the and deleting some of the backgrounds etc: M...

IN response to Redllars lack of enthusiasm on contnuing this project. I'd just like to say, I for one agree totally. I've not been on these forums for long but have seen sites offering free software with no strings where the authors have been abused for not giving more than they can/should. I perfec...

In defence of u3. People will buy this thing because people just like being told what to do. I mean most of us here have been messing around on the net or inside pc's and would like to know what's going on in there. In general people just like to be told something though and take it as read. "W...
