Re: yaP - yet another Portablizer

tproli, may I suggest this distro for your linux search? I'm serious, I think it fits your creative type and it's an excellent - portable - distro. Fatdog64 700

Re: yaP - yet another Portablizer

You're welcome tpr, the least I can do to support my appreciation for yaP (and Linkman Lite).

Re: Linux distro for a novice

Others have already mentioned Puppy linux. Try Puppy linux because: - it's lightweight (ISO size 100MB and up, rarely over 400MB depending on how many apps it includes) - community forum is supportive - you can install it to a USB key (how's that for ultimate portability?) - you can run it entirely ...

yaP configuration for Linkman free

I didn't find a yaP configuration for Linkman free, so here's mine. yaP's cool, thanks tprpoli! Notes: 1. I didn't install any of the browser plugins, so I don't know how they portablize with yaP. 2. In Linkman configuration/Start tab leave "use registry instead of ini file" selected 3. Li...

I might have confused things re: the dll, so I split the two JPE dll locations into two separate entries: one for where the dll is always stored (where it will be copied from when setting up/building the launcher) and one for where the dll needs to be when the to-be-built launcher is run. The stora...

Hey Redllar, happy new year! Don't worry about not making a self-imposed deadline, we can wait. Just rest assured that JauntePE is one of the best portabilizers around - personally it's my favorite one - so your work is and will always be greatly appreciated.

redirecting HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface

On WinXP Pro SP2, jauntepe.dll 0.1.6.4 I'm trying to redirect keys under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface. My understanding is that HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface is a shortcut for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Interface. Jauntepe.dll log version shows calls to RegCreateKeyExW HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interf...

Hey Redllar, version 0.1.6 fixed all problems, thanks! Except the bogus 192.168.0.2 registry folder creation. That's still being created in error, and it's empty. Sorry but it seems that the bug mentioned in this thread was reintroduced in versions 0.1.6.4 and 0.1.6.2. I went back to version 0.1.6....

If you remove MCH from the distribution it's like relegating JPE into the realm of the "illegal". Any new user would need to download MCH from a "questionable" Internet site to get a working distribution. Is this what you want for JPE? Also, if MCH coudn't be distributed with JPE...

Okay, I got 12 apps of various types tested with no problems. I think, at least from my viewpoint, that it should be safe to use the "min" version as your primary jpe dll again. OK, I tested 14 apps with the min version. 11 worked fine. Of the remaining 3, 2 of them had some previous issu...
