Re: ArcThemALL!

Do you mean the UPX "test" commandline parameter? The -t command tests the integrity of the compressed file, and reports result in the console (if I use a batch file with "pause" command to keep console open). I've only ever seen "OK" result, don't know what it reports ...

Re: ArcThemALL!

ok, I concede. I guess it comes down to personal preferences and habit. I developed mine so many years ago when I learned how to make custom toolbars in Excel, and quit having to use multiple clicks to access any function, and you know how stubborn us old folks can be :P

Re: ArcThemALL!

I wouldn't say its a "bad" solution, just that not everybody would know that there is even a context menu available. A clean UI is a very good thing, as long as a new user can find their way to the functions they need without having to read a help file (we all know that lots of folks don't...

Re: Is Opera 11 standard portable or not ?

Nice to see Opera getting a little Lifehacker love. for several years they haven't talked very much about Opera aside from announcing releases and new features.

Re: ArcThemALL!

That should work pretty well.
Or, you could offer the editing options on both a context menu AND on the dropdown. But that might be more confusing.

Re: DownloadSquad Closing

Bummer.....
I saw that the site will stay up, but no new articles. But technology changes will make its information obsolete sooner or later.

Re: ArcThemALL!

I like the direction this is going. just a quick wish --- any chance of having an "Edit List" button on the main UI with dropdown list of the "add items", "remove selected", and "clear list" options? I think that might be more intuitive for new users than a ri...

I'm running behind the rest of the world as usual.
Slightly off-topic-but-not-really, because the title of the article made me LOL

Re: DropIt

Options setting "Enable sorting for folders also" can come to the rescue. You might have to take a bit of care in naming your folders. You could name your folders something like my vacation Avi, birthday party Avi, faveTunes Mp3 Then set patterns for folders using the double asterisk. **av...

Re: My comments are disappearing

Ya, I also do agree.
Now that I know the whole story, I'll be more careful with my wording.

I will add this, spammers are patient.
On another forum I visit, a member noticed a recent spam post that was IDENTICAL to one posted 3 or 4 years ago. Bots have no sense of time, I suppose.

Re: My comments are disappearing

Ok, good to have an answer to the mystery! Andrew, thank you for taking the time. Yes, workplace filters can be fun. Obviously, we're blocked from downloading EXE files, but also RAR and INI. (Zip and 7Z are still allowed) I was tasked to research some food recipes to plan product purchasing, and pe...

My comments are disappearing

Maybe this should have been posted in site suggestions, but anyway...... I have tried three times over the last few days to post a comment for TabbyCalc, and get message "thanks for commenting...", but the comment never appears. The TabbyWare site is gone for good (and too bad for us, he m...
