Synopsis: Digital Paint: Paintball 2 was originally a Quake2 mod. Now that Quake2 has been released under the GPL, Paintball2 has become a complete standalone game with an enhanced, open-sourced engine. Between the Quake2 physics and the one shot kills, it's an extremely fast paced game with numerous maps and gameplay modes. Gameplay modes include Elimination, CTF, 1-Flag CTF, Siege, Deathmatch, King of the Hill, and Pong. Some of the engine enhancements include reflective water and skeletal animation.

How to extract: Download the installer and extract using Universal Extractor to a folder of your choice. Delete $PLUGINSDIR and [NSIS].nsi. Launch the program by double-clicking paintball2.exe.

Synopsis: RAY-HOUND is a new twist on the shooter genre in which you "steal" shots fired at you and use them to attack your enemies. Everything is controlled by the mouse and is easy to learn, but hard to master. Crisp visuals are a definite plus, though there is not much sound to speak of.

Synopsis: Super Mario War is a tribute to the old "versus" Mario games with a wealth of features and game modes. The goal is to primarily hop on your opponents, though powerups such as Fire Flowers, Hammers, Invincibility and more are available to help you defeat your foes. AI "bots" are also available and are usually quite a challenge, though their performance can vary from map to map. Super Mario War also supports extra maps and skins.

Note that Super Mario War requires MSVCR71.DLL to run.

Synopsis: Charred Dirt is a remake of Scorched Earth, but in 2D. A maximum of 8 players can choose a tank and character. Each player is given the opportunity to buy weapons, shields and other items with a starting amount of cash. When the game starts, each player takes turns calculating the power and angle of their shots to try to destroy the other players’ tanks. The last tank left alive wins the round. The game can be played in single or multi-user mode.

Synopsis: Titanion is, in the author's words, a "strike down super high-velocity swooping insects" game. In short, it's yet another abstract Kenta Cho shooter that hits a home run with just about any gamer by putting a few fun twists on tried-and-true gameplay. As with all his other games, the graphics, sound, and control are all just right, making this yet another worthy addition to any gamer's arsenal.
