Synopsis: AnmanieSMP is (abandoned?) freeware morphing/deforming software similar to Photoshop's "Liquify" function or Kai's Power Goo - a somewhat rare find in the freeware world, and fairly good at what it does. It can save its morphs as animations too.

Writes settings to: None: By default, it does not save its settings at all, nor associate its *.vbmap file extension. You do have the option of using the registry for both, however.

Dependencies: avifil32.dll - this is already on most Windows systems, but not necessarily all.

How to extract: Go to the German site Chip.de using the "Website" link above. Click the "Zum Download" button there. On the next page, click "Download-Server CHIP Online". If the download does not start automatically, click "Zum Download" again, or the "klicken Sie bitte hier" link. Extract anm24i.zip to a folder of your choice. Optionally, find a copy of avifil32.dll and copy it into the application folder. Launch AnmanieSMP.exe. (Program interface is in English by default.)

Synopsis: Artweaver is an image editor that tries to simulate natural brush tools eg. chalk, charcoal, pencils. It supports common image formats such as BMP, GIF, JPEG, PCX, TGA, TIFF, PNG and PSD, in addition to its own format (AWD). Image editing functions includes selection, gradient, crop, fill, transparency, layers, effects (sharpen, blur, emboss, mosaic etc.).

How to extract: Download the installer and extract to a folder of your choice. The application folders are located in the {app} subfolder. Create a file called Artweaver.ini in that folder with the content:

Synopsis: Inkscape is a vector graphics editor that rivals commercial apps like Illustrator, Freehand, CorelDraw or Xara X. It uses the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format, and supports features like shapes, paths, text, markers, clones, alpha blending, transforms, gradients, patterns, and grouping. It imports formats such as JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and others and exports PNG as well as multiple vector-based formats. XInkscape is a portable wrapper for Inkscape that writes settings to the application folder instead of the Windows registry.
