You can use keyboard shortcuts or abbreviations to paste the text (or run the script) without opening the search window. You can also use formatted text (html, markdown and rtf) and images.

I'm using the latest version of PhraseExpress Portable on XP Pro, but it's putting two files (config.xml and pexdesktop.xml) into my Documents and Setting/Application Data/PhraseExpress folder.

Is there any way to change where these files are stored, so that the true portability of this application can be made?

Ennovy on 2014-10-08 13:45

Please read above "How to extract"
Start de programm with the -portable parameter
and all settings are stored in the application folder

... but it only mentions changes in the paid version for this release.

The freeware still provides English (American or British), French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian support only -- Hunspell compatibility is only available in the paid version.
