Synopsis: Winamp is the grand-daddy of MP3 players. It has strong support for different skins and plug-ins, which you can download from the website. Skins and plug-ins are portable as well.

How to extract:

Download "Winamp Lite" installer.
Before you extract files, update Universal Extractor. Copy 7z.dll and 7z.exe in 7-zip Portable \App\7-Zip subfolder to your Universal Extractor \bin subfolder.
Extract to a folder of your choice
Remove $[48], $0, $COMMONFILES, $R0, $[47] and [NSIS].nsi. Launch winamp.exe.
When run for the first time, you will be presented with a "WinAmp Setup" window. Uncheck all boxes in the file associations and anonymous usage statistics windows.

Note that the above extraction instructions are only applicable to Winamp Lite. Hank7 has kindly contributed extraction instructions for Winamp Full.

Synopsis: M3U Dropper creates, imports, and organizes playlist files that take selections from an audio/video collection and put them in an order of your choice. This is useful for example in creating a mix of songs or videos with a specific mood or purpose. As the name suggests, the program creates M3U files which are used in most software players (Winamp, Foobar, etc.) and some hardware players.

Although other programs can generate these files, M3U Dropper can use a more portable method of relative pathways.

A 64-bit version is also available for download from the website.

Note: according to the author, Windows Media Player and VLC support playlists with "mixed media," or both audio and video.

Launch your default e-mail window to compose a new email. Control your WinAmp 2.x without it being focused. Synopsis: AIMP is a skinnable audio player similar to Winamp that supports most audio formats, as well as Internet radio. Features include mini-player, equalizer, playlist, global hotkeys, library, and plug-ins capability. The application also includes a built-in tag editor.
