DxWnd v2.05.22 Updated

billon on 10 Jul 2019
  • 12MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 10 Jul 2019
  • Suggested by Special

DxWnd lets you run many applications that default to fullscreen in a window, ideal for games. The program is a Win32 "hooker" program that intercepts and alters the behavior of window messages and APIs. It picks up events and injects code into the configured tasks to run fullscreen programs in a windowed environment while maintaining expected behavior.

Who are you? Like if gho the main guy behind DxWnd move over to Github, only then I would consider it an "official" repo, but other wise it seems pretty unofficial to me when a random person sets one up.

What are some of your contributions to DxWnd? Why didn't gho set it up instead?

refack on 2017-04-22 14:53

@Special, I'm just helping gho with the "mechanics" of the mirror. He owns and approves the mirror.

Midas on 2017-07-04 10:04

Tip: no help files are included in recent builds, so it is advised you grab v2_04_10 from Sourceforge which has the most up to date files.

BTW, the GitHub repository mentioned above by refack is currently empty.

Smurf, that looks sweet, if it is portable I suggest this be added to database. (possibly as a replacement?)

There's a note:
D-Fend Reloaded may be installed in a portable operation mode (for USB-Sticks etc.).

My eyes lit up when I read that.

SYSTEM on 2011-07-17 09:39

I have updated the extraction instructions. Chris Morgan had pointed out that DOSBox is not portable if launched without any command-line switches.

Thanks Chris. :)

Wesnoth @ v1.12.6 : Maintenance Release

shnbwmn on 2018-05-13 16:30

I'm glad that Wesnoth made it to Steam. Hopefully the community will grow and attract more enthusiasts.

On an unrelated note, I still have the Wesnoth 0.8.8 setup file from 2004/05, only 32Mb. A game must be very good if over a decade later it is still endlessly playable :)

@smaragdus: for the time being, and in view of the rapid shifting of versions and licenses, I think the best bet is with no strings attached ClipDiary Free. Having said that, I have no objection if anyone (including you) makes the change you requested. I have a Personal and a GAotD key, both free, so the commercial version is my preferred ATM...

smaragdus on 2016-09-17 14:56

The last version of Clipdiary which works with Windows XP is 3.9 and it (both the installer and the archive) can be downloaded at the download section of Clipdiary web-site:
