At last someone had the nerf to create such a valuable app, couldn't live without it (not).
I think I have at least 4 usefull (portable) programs that offer this routine standard, why would I need this?

I like Whitsoft Dev's "MD5 Hash" :) Even works from Right click menu in Explorer ;)

What would be NEAT, is an app that could create multiple hashes, CRC32, etc.

MD5 GUI is a MD5 checksum generator and verifier. The generated checksum can be viewed on screen, copied to the clipboard, or saved to a file (for use with the checksum verification function).

eXpress CheckSum Calculator v1.0.0

Andrew Lee on 12 Feb 2013

eXpress CheckSum Calculator is great for verifying the integrity of files downloaded from the Internet. Similar utilities install new shell menus and/or tabs, which I dislike, because experience have shown that badly written shell utilities will make Windows Explorer less stable. Why sacrifice system stability when you can use small, simple utilities like these instead?

Writes settings to: Windows registry, but application does not seem to use them! Given the nature of the application, I think it can be accepted as portable.
