You need to start this by "run as administator" in order to see all the drives. You can set that property in the shortcut properties if you wish.

This program really helped me out today by showing a "high speed" flash drive really wasn't. Negatively, it wants to erase a drive to run a write test for some reason. Still, a great diagnostic program with an easy to understand output. |
Encopy rescues data from damaged media when standard system copy fails, freezes and or rejects the media. In cases where it is not possible to perform a full recovery, Encopy will try to copy as much data as possible from the damaged files.
Great for use in getting whatever data off a scratched CD or DVD whose copy would otherwise give up on a read error.

A great Video Cataloguer, let down only for the lack of documentation and online support. Have more than 400 DVDs and tried both the apps in this category, stayed with PVD. Nimble and quick, doesn´t have all the importers that AMC has, but makes finding blanks and editing a breeze. Recomended.

I confirm that *fang-face* is right- the extraction of the latest version of ImgBurn (2.5.8.0) with Universal Extractor version 1.6.1 or with 7-Zip version 9.20 doesn't create any '$INSTDIR' directory.

Only notice webfork's comment today. Used Universal Extractor 2 https://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=2764 to extract to a new folder and ran vv.exe. Still unable to get portable version to run, even as administrator.

Optical Info detects and displays the read/write capabilities of any CD/DVD drive. This is useful because such drives don't often display their capabilities in the front panel, or the information may be blocked by the PC casing. The utility allows you to select a CD/DVD drive by drive letter for analysis.

I prefer "Nero Info Tool" instead because it displays more precise information about read/write modi of your cd/dvd burner, e.g. TAO/SAO/DAO etc. Along this you have some other useful information about drivers/ASPI/ide controllers etc. |

It does have an erase function. After asking for a blank CD, if it is re-writable, it will ask if it is OK to erase it. |
InfraRecorder is a burning app that facilitates the creation of data, audio and mixed-mode disks. It also supports erasing rewritable discs using one of four different methods, and copying an existing CD or DVD to another physical disc or disc image.
Supports HD DVD and Blu Ray data and video, as well as to or from a wide range of image file formats (BIN, DVD, IMG, ISO, NRG, etc.) and burns audio CD's from any file type supported via DirectShow / ACM - including FLAC, MP3, MP4, OGG, WMA, and more.
PortableApps version also available.
