What is the template to add commands to the menu list? Whatever i try it doesn't work.

Anyone knows about other cmd replacement that allows you to save commands?

Midas on 2014-07-04 17:45

JPsoft 4DOS/4NT (currently renamed to Take Command) allows you to set up persistent "alias", just check the documentation...

I love this little program. Small, fast, easy to use, and free.
Thumbs up :)

FileHandler on 2019-04-04 09:13

Great tool. Super-fast, customizable in many areas (key shortcuts, font-sizes for sidebars and editor, BG-colors, very reliable, filters and additive (AND) search function, fully portable. Takes a bit of getting used-to, but it's worth the effort.

RIOT (Radical Image Optimization Tool) v0.6.2 Updated

billon on 7 May 2019
  • 6MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 7 May 2019
  • Suggested by ashghost

RIOT (Radical Image Optimization Tool) presents a before-and-after image compression view that allows you to reduce file size of an image into JPG, PNG, or GIF format. Includes optional metadata removal, batch operations, compression to a target file size, transparency options, and other common editing functions (flip, rotate, zoom, pan). Notable versus similar software in the ability to gradually reduce the available colors one-by-one (7, 8, 9, 10...), not just milestones of 16, 32, 64 etc.

The program is also available as a plugin for XnView, GIMP, or Irfanview (see website).

Functional in Linux using Wine. Many of the official entries here on PortableFreeware have used RIOT for compression. Note that the installer version of this program is considered adware.

Category:
System Requirements: Win2K / WinXP / Vista / Win7 / Win8 / Win10
Writes settings to: Application folder
Stealth: ? Yes
Unicode support: Yes
License: Freeware
How to extract:
  1. Download the "Portable version" ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice
  2. Create two empty text files: Riot.ini and Riot-external-tools.ini in that folder
  3. Launch Riot.exe
Similar/alternative apps: FileOptimizer
What's new? Added:
  • Minimum compression setting to PNG (zlib level 1). This is useful for using with an external optimizer or reducing colors before final compression.
  • PNG compression settings “minimum” and “low” are always remembered upon program restart if save settings on exit is enabled.
Changed:
  • Improved check for updates procedure. Now enabled by default. Does not create temporary files anymore.
Fixed:
  • Clipboard lock.
  • Keep original date/time if in-place optimization.
  • Prevent delete of original if in-place optimization and “Delete original files” are used.
  • Keep original file extension when saving files in batch.
  • Keep original file extension when saving files from the main window.
  • File extension filter when using the Save As dialog for less common JPEG extensions.
  • Render images after Auto resize dialog is discarded.
  • Multi-monitor issue: restore position only if the saved position would be inside the visible area.
  • Overriding settings in “Auto, Custom Format mode” did not switched the mode the Manual.
  • “Auto, Custom Format mode” blending transparency for JPEG format (white color used now by default instead of black, but should use the last chosen color).

Since the author also releases the source code, it must be false positives.

Why is MailPassView listed as a Similar/alternative app? MailPassView's function is much narrower. It only recovers passwords from email clients, and does not look for product keys. recALL recovers passwords from many different classes of program and also finds license keys. You don't even put the two programs in the same category. You have recall listed under Security - Product Key Recovery, while you have MailPassView under Security - Password Recovery.
