RedCrab is a scientific calculator with a full screen formula editor. Mathematical expressions can be entered in a window similar to a piece of paper. The calculator's editor supports the entry of complex algebraic equations like fractions, square roots, exponents etc. for technical and scientific applications.

Several mathematical functions can be written on the same page and results from one expression can be carried over to the next task. The program helps explain complex tasks visually by importing drawings in bitmap format.

Oh, I forgot to mention that it come with installer, but it work on portable usb. Just extract IpSwitch.exe and run it. Program settings will be saved in data.ini in same location as IpSwitch.exe

ikke on 2010-08-03 00:02

@tpig:
Don't recommend outdated crap please.
Eusing's free IP Switcher refuses to work on anything better than Windows XP. So it's virtually useless.

AdrianK_IT on 2012-04-06 09:33

Please would someone edit the 'Synopsis' so it is less misleading. Apparently, this software is for ' ... mobile users ... at ... office ... ' yet is only 'free for personal use'!

@MoisheP
You are totally wrong. False positives should be addressed by crappy anti-virus vendors.

MIKLO on 2017-04-29 16:52

I gotta agree with @smaragdus its up to the anti-virus developer to correct their mistake naming something as malware or anything bad when in fact it is not! I have used this software for quite some time and really like and its easy to use & works great.

Great piece of software. Tried fixing an archive in WinRAR but it failed. Tried this and it was able to rebuild the Zip file. Thanks for the post!

webfork on 2013-09-01 18:39

You only need this program when something goes wrong and I got a chance to test it when an archived ZIP file went bad. The program worked great and did exactly what I needed. The program extracts the files from the archive that it can, then re-zipps them out to a new one (that isn't broken). Since I then extracted said archive, part of me wishes there was an option to just extract the good files and folders.

LibreOffice Portable v5.4.0 Updated

billon on 14 Aug 2017
  • 493MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 14 Aug 2017
  • Suggested by JohnTHaller

LibreOffice is a complete productivity suite including word processor, spreadsheet, presentations, database, drawing tool and more. Includes strong compatibility for 100s of file formats including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc). The program is similar to OpenOffice, a program that it was derived from, but has added many new features and improvements.

LibreOffice Portable is a special build developed in conjunction with the publisher. A "Still" version that's more tested and stable but with fewer features/capabilities is available via the website link. On systems without Java installed, some functions such as document creation wizards and the Base database application etc. can be enabled by adding jPortable, though this is optional and can be skipped if those functions are not needed. Alternatively, X-LibreOffice is also available.

Cross platform with versions available for Mac, Linux/BSD (comes default with most distros) and supports a variety of extensions. A more stable "Still" version is available from the website link.

@ Mike.S.G.: Thanks ... and updated ;)

CornHolio the Gringo on 2015-06-20 17:14

As many knows, LibreOffice Portable from PortableApps.com takes a long time to startup. On my system it takes 13 seconds from a fresh boot.
X-LibreOffice takes 4 seconds, from a fresh boot, so to all of You who
wants the portable version to start faster, use X-LibreOffice from WinPenPack.com.
Calc, Writer and the other stuff also loads faster with X-LibreOffice.

JohnTHaller on 2015-06-20 23:36

LibreOffice Portable is compressed using UPX to make it a lot smaller (268MB vs X-LO's 523MB for an English install) which also speeds up startup times from the vast majority of external drives. The tradeoff is that it will take a few extra seconds to start off an internal drive vs an uncompressed copy... 3 vs 5 seconds for a cold start on my machine.
