weird thing! but i like it and it works without problems.
you have to get used to it to realize that it works properly: e.g. right-clicking means "closing".
some of the functions are quite useful the others can be disabled ;-)

Okay, I can't figure out how to access the .exe launcher function (is that the Z'Menu in the setup dialog? what is Zero-Zero-Menu?) nor the browser search bar or Google search bar. I discovered I could type into the system monitor box, but it doesn't launch a search... unless this app only supports Internet Explorer. The active browser is Firefox.

The Z'Panel (I assume that's what appears in the top left corner of the display) is very difficult to activate, especially when I'm using dual monitors and the mouse pointer pops too easily over to the second monitor, which is on the left in my setup.

I'm not sure what Swazz Z'Star is, either. It appears to do nothing when I select it.

Also, the command line won't stay in the directory I change to. I'm running SWAZZ portably on WinXP SP2. My portable drive is F: today. If I tell it to cd back to the C drive, it does that but pops right back into the F drive... so I'm at the F command prompt instead of C, no matter what I do.

It helps to read the Readme file packed with the application.

So that takes care of everything above except the difficulty of activating the menu (not Z'Panel) on a dual monitor, and the command line directory problem.

Google Hacks v1.6

Google Hacks is a compilation of carefully crafted Google searches that expose novel functionality from Google's search and map services. For example, you can use it to view a timeline of your search results, view a map, search for music, search for books etc. These can all be done manually by pointing your web browser at Google's search engine, but the tool certainly makes it more convenient.

Had the same problem. Try this: in Internet Explorer - Tools>Internet Options>Programs>Reset Web Settings.

  • Released on
  • Suggested by Andrew Lee

FileCommander is a feature-rich, multi-pane file manager that supports up to 4 simultaneous browser windows (enabled with "View", "Extended view"). File highlighting to separate different file types and comes with 3 different "themes," or skins. Includes a process list, folder comparison/synchronization tool, MD5 hash, file splitter, network monitor, virtual drives, file sharing, CD burner etc. ZIP, 7zip and RAR files are handled as folders and file preview tool (F3) allows a quick-view for a long list of file types. Additionally, the program includes an "open with" capability that supports relative pathways, allowing FileCommander to open files using other portable software.

Performance enhancements over regular Explorer include individual threads for each window so the rest of the program doesn't slow down during one window's process (e.g. CD spin-up, network delay). Internal clipboard means Windows' own clipboard will not be overwritten.

Update: after extensive use, although program had a lot of promise but its unfortunately really buggy. Drag and drop outside of the window doesn't work, wouldn't refresh a new cd that was inserted, and many, many minor glitches. Pass on this one.
