CHReader collects a group of related web files along with images, resources, etc. to a single compressed archive up to 4GB. The program then acts as a dedicated local web server and lets you browse the archive locally using your preferred web browser without needing to decompress. This way you can retrieve very large sites with web spiders and keep them in a compact form that can be readily viewed or referenced..

Can't find CHReader homepage (only Acrylic DNS proxy remains at the original http://mayakron.altervista.org/ website), but it is still available at Sourceforge:

Simple but excelent utility to archive & browse (Web) HTML content. I just wish it had some default settings & command line options, like one to launch the files on execution -- right now you have to click a 'Browse' button.

Highly recommended! ****-
