[Anonymous] CrashThis program seems to skirt the edge of "portability". It requires writing to the registry while running but removes the entries on application exit. A mirror download link can be found here-- http://rapidshare.de/files/26421426/Portable_BSplayer.zip.html [2006-07-21 06:38]

[Anonymous] nake89Well I just wanted to give the possibility for a portable bsplayer. Its so popular and nobody made it portable. I had to do it. Anyway the rs.de link still works. I will update links later. This is indeed a non-portable program made "portable". [2006-07-21 16:08]

[Anonymous] nake89Excuse me for double posting but here is a better link:

[Anonymous] rLink not work. [2008-03-28 19:21]

[Anonymous] awhat does the bs stand for in bsplayer, it's pretty obvious with this company, load the freeware version with missing features and top it off with spyware, then try to sell a version that comes with features which are pretty much a standard in so many freeware audio/video players. whats more is the price is something to be desired. in other words kmplayer, winamp, xmplay, GOM Player, AIMP, vlc, media player classic, mplayer ect, ect, ect is a much better choice for a media/audio player. [2008-07-09 20:55]

[Anonymous] a@nake89, i'm sure everyone appreciates your work for getting this portable. i *really* think companies like bsplayer, and worse should work on fixing their business model. [2008-07-09 21:01]

For more general topics (eg. whether apps that write to the registry, leave traces on the host machine, rely on certain versions of IE etc. can be considered portable), please post to the Portable Freeware Discussion forum. If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
