[Anonymous] BrianThis is a great app for anyone who uses a laptop and connects to various networks that don't have DHCP. I work at various sites that all use static IPs and WinIPs allowed me to save the settings for each site and change between them in seconds. No more going in and out of network settings :) [2007-11-29 07:44]

[Anonymous] General GrantWinIPS is a great ip changing utility for Windows XP and below. It hates working on Windows Vista.
I work in a IT department at a local power company, and I use it all the time to switch in between networks. Mostly to set up and program dsl modems. So I installed two NICS on my desktop and use it almost every day. It is absolutely wonderful for using on Windows XP, but like I said, it hates Vista. Because Microsoft integrated so many damn graphics and features on their newest Windows, (to "help" you connect to different networks,) every time you try changing the tcp/ip settings on a second network card, it will boot you off the internet period. Even if you use the built in tcp/ip properties to change the settings, it also will boot you off of your preferred or first network. On XP, I can browse on two different networks at the same time with no loss of internet. Damn Microsoft.

[Anonymous] The AuthorWe never got a single donation so the utility couldn't even pay for the domain, that's why we shut it down.

The site that is at that URL is no longer associated with the executable or us.

All HTML tags will be removed from your comment. URLs (http, https, ftp) will be automatically detected and hyperlinked. I reserve the right to delete irrelevant, frivolous or offensive comments. For more general topics (eg. whether apps that write to the registry, leave traces on the host machine, rely on certain versions of IE etc. can be considered portable), please post to the Portable Freeware Discussion forum. If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
