juvera: 2.9.1 is a development test, not a stable release. That's why PortableApps.com has the 2.8.x version listed as primary and then 2.9.x as a test for users to try out. PortableFreeware.com doesn't list development tests.

darkest: Abiword's image support isn't great. I recommend SoftMaker Office (http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1463).

Hello " darkest". I got the same problem. There was same changes between v.2.86 and v.2.6.8.
On my pc AbiWord_Portable_2.6.8_MultiLang.paf works like it suppose to.

This is no good if it opens the files odt or doc it doesn't open them correct or without pictures. I prefer openoffice it isn't that fast, but it works good.

I actually prefer this to Tomahawk because a) it supports .doc files, and b) my Linux dev (Puppy) uses it.

The new version 2.6.5 do not work with WinME. If you have WinME you must use the older version 2.4.6. So if you think you have to use your portable AbiWord on a Windows ME machine, be sure you get version 2.4.6.

Why it does not have Print Preview? Operating on tables is unstable. Probably it cannot make a table outlining invisible which I use some time when I try to manage document outlook.

Grammar Checking Doesn't Work For For Me Either but spell checking does.

I'd like to like this app, if it weren't that each version has been randomly crashing so far on windows on my XP box. I'm currently running openoffice and would like to switch to something more lightweight and simple. But whenever i try a current abiword or gnumeric version, i get the same experience: instability and unreliability.
