XPredit lets you easily tweak certain useful registry values such as disabling autorun and ballooon tips, speeding up the start menu, hiding recent documents display, minimizing startup and shutdown times etc.

I just downloaded the newest version (XPredit 2.1.4 RC2) from http://xpredit.pcbox.gr/dload.php?action=license&license_id=1&file_id=7
I merely agreed to the license and downloaded it from the link. I did not join anything. It is an installer though.
I do not know if it is portable but it should be

Like Sprakto I was unimpressed to have to join a forum to download.

You need to join a forum to download the software. Not impressed.
And I couldn't join the forum because the link in the confirmation email gave a 404 error. Even less impressed.

This is a version dated 17/01/2007. Is this really what should be called an update ?
