[Anonymous] LocalI can't get this to install at all.
All I get when opening the executable is a blank window with a ,rather nice I must say, cross in the corner and an ok button to press.

I can only find one version on the website too, anyone got a version that works?

[Anonymous] Andrew LeeThis happens to me for V4.1 too. I was testing the latest version but couldn't move beyond the blank windows with OK button. Any pointers will be great! [2007-06-06 09:40]

[Anonymous] LocalIt seems that there was a srew up with the last release.
It's been fixed and the new download works fine.

It's not quite as effective as Gimp or Photoshop but for an 8MB download it's pretty fine.

[Anonymous] YarghHow is this portable? Version 4.1 is available only as an installer. Does anyone actually have a portable version of this? [2007-12-06 10:38]

[Anonymous] LonerMy second attempt at this program, this version and an earlier one, and both times I have been unimpressed. I really wanted to work with layers, and followed the volunteer tutorial, and it still is not so easy to work with. On the intro of this program here it says to discard Photoshop......I don't think so!! Not in favor with something so difficult to learn. Thanks for the freebie, but no thanks just the same. [2008-01-08 17:49]

[Anonymous] WebforkA lot of interesting and cool brushes, filters, and other tools make this a fun graphics tool to play around with but the hectic AI keeps it from really being useful for everyday projects. Mostly it is a toy, not something you can do graphics work with (like for example PhotoFiltre: http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=12) [2008-10-13 15:22]

[Anonymous] Pixia userThis is intended as a Paint program rather than an image editor so comparing it to Photoshop is ridiculous. As a paint program it is very good and not that difficult to learn [2010-02-18 09:25]

[Anonymous] Geddich NixanI updated my Pixia from an older version (both used as portables) and now the toolbar buttons are blackened out. It is still useable thanks to the popping up denotations of the buttons when hovering over them with the mouse, but it is still an annoyance. Anyone experiencing the same phenomenon, or has an idea how to tackle this? I am using XP SP3. [2010-02-23 10:53]

[Anonymous] mjwiechThe same. All toolbar icons are just black squares.

Using XP SP3.

If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
